Sorted by BOSS, left the unrecognized mods alone. Wyre Bash patched- i am new to both but more than comfortable using them if solutions require it.

also added a couple mods after bash patched, but the problem i have was before i did that.

Problem: Casting animation gets 'stuck' after 10-20 minutes thru gameplay and unstucks after exiting the game, always happens each game... what i mean by being stuck is, the player go's thru the animation correctly, but the sparkle effect, such as the light orb flowing up the players arm, will appear at the elbow spot and stay there instead of flowing. fireballs (or any target spell) appear at head height and over the shoulder and fire from there instead of from my characters fingertips. Basically the spells animation on the character stops altogether.

A solution to this is greatly apreciated, the last time I had this issue, i had disabled the mod causing it when it was found- I don't wish to disable another if it can be avoided.

Thanks Tomlong for your suggestion of posting this and your time, and thanks in advance to anyone with a solution.

How many hours have you put into this profile? Are you using a UI mod?

Finishing the Installation - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/index.php?page=finishing_the_installation <-- Read this, and repost your load order after merging and importing (and deactivating) some of those plugins

3A KT_CustomRaceFix.esp <-- Remove this and install the UOP

Grab the DR hotfix - http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8273 <-- At the bottom of the page (if you do not already have it)

2E Multiple Creature Summoning.esp <-- Try deactivating this and other magic-related mods and DR. This particular modification can also be found in LAME and SM, just FYI.

++ Francesco's day lenght rescale 1-24.esp <-- Replace with the Bashed Patch tweak (Globals > Timescale)

3F AtLeast+3Modifiers.esp <-- Deactivate all of these for now, and do not just leave them at the end of your load order, please.

40 Kill_Bruma_Statue.esp

41 SDHeartbreaker.esp

42 Thunderbird Armor.esp

43 TrainerFind.esp

44 ShadowfangKeep.esp

45 BladeSong.esp

LO Template - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/index.php?page=load_order#LOTemplate <-- use this to help place them

How many hours have you put into the save? Do you have an on-board sound card? If you have not put 100+ hours into this profile, please post your Dxdiag.

43 hours, problem persistant from the start of the save. Using on-board card.

I have a rockfish sound card i could plug in that i got left over from my girlfriend, but i havent decided to plug that in yet, might not.

Not using a UI mod- still working on those other things you mentioned.

A sound card would help performance tremendously. Do not hesitate. Your CPU is not the greatest, but it is okay.

Try this: Regenerate the Oblivion.ini - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/index.php?page=know_how_to#RegenerateTheOblivion.ini

Might as well try this too: Oblivion Animation Fixer - http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5127

Try removing the Midas plugins too.

Does the problem clear up if you move the Meshes\_Male folder out of the Data folder?

WELL,.. I havent been able to try even half of your excellent suggestions yet, most of which I intend to complete when i get enough time tonight- but that Meshes\character\_Male folder removal suggestion caught my interest for some reason and decided to give that a quick go

some interesting things happened. I ran the same dungeon from the same save at the begining of the dungeon 2 times. in test 1 and 2.

test 1, with \_male: No glitching, works perfectly

test 2, without \_male: No glitching, works perfectly

then i got to thinking, maybe its because i quicksave alot that triggers it- i know im suppose to exit to the main menu, but quicksave/load never has caused me issues before, not once.

sooo,... i did this.

test 3, with \_male: casts perfectly... I then cast again and quickly load the same save in the middle of the animation, and the bugs triggers immediately.

test 4, without \_male, same test as test 3: again, perfect on the regular casting and but also perfect after loading in the middle of casting animation.

so, test 3 was the only one that triggered it... yet i KNOW it has triggered without a game load while playing(usually noticed after having casting interupted in some way, bash, knocked to ground, silenced). That being aside the point, you hit the nail on the head with the \_male folder,.. but it's kinda odd.

any suggestions from here? I would hate to give up my animation replacer, I suppose I could add them back in one by one until i ran into the issue again, heh. (its not deadly reflex- i played DR for a long time without this issue, although i guess it could be the combination of deadly reflex and DMC replacer?)

And giving up quicksave/ingame loads isnt much of an option, this is the only issue that has ever arisen from it- and im also sure it triggers from other things so it wouldnt be solved 100%. could be wrong, worth testing

Edit: Btw, tests were done without taking Midas Magic off, and DR was still on also. In case that matters any,. and test 3 and 4 were repeated for verification that loading caused it

and I got to say, im more than a bit confused-

I ran the same dungeon from the same save at the begining of the dungeon 2 times. in test 1 and 2.

test 1, with \_male: No glitching, works perfectly

test 2, without \_male: No glitching, works perfectly

then i got to thinking, maybe its because i quicksave alot that triggers it- i know im suppose to exit to the main menu, but quicksave/load never has caused me issues before, not once.

sooo,... i did this.

This is good. The _Male folder contains the animation (KF) files. DR adds them. Midas does not. Try uninstalling DR. You only had it deactivated. The files were still installed. If you have any other mods that replace the animation files, uninstall them and test. Actually, before you uninstall anything, use OBMM Data File Browser to explore that folder, and see which mods installed things there.

About the quicksaving, stop while you are ahead. If you still want to be able to use Quick Saves install Streamline and use its quick saves. You can change the hotkey to whatever you want, including replacing the Oblivion quick save hotkey. You can just turn those off, honestly. Set them to some random key. The instructions for changing SL's hotkeys are in the ReadMe.

Oblivion.ini Tweaks - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/index.php?page=oblivion_ini_tweaks <-- Some of these are for crash prevention. Take a look

Streamline INI Setup - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/index.php?page=oblivion_ini_tweaks <-- You will probably want to change some things

Streamline - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/index.php?page=stabilization_and_optimization_mods#Streamline <-- I love its autosave feature (and I still save compulsively, but that just means more saves. ^___^)

hmm,.. Deadly Reflex wasnt it

re-added deadly reflex animations, still no bug

re-added a couple DMC animations,.. still no bug

and i get the bug rather or not the esps for either are enabled/disabled when the whole folder is there... i renamed the folder btw for testing and adding in what animations i can get to work without the bug to a new one.

question- I cant seem to figure out how the File Browser is suppose to give me that information... it just lists all the files, but doesnt show me what esp's they connect with.

gonna try streamline saves (already had it installed,.. just never used its saves feature, wonder if that'll help the issue)

No. Moving the Meshes folder fixing it says that it is a data files problem. The whole point of the Data file browser is to show which OMOD installed which files. Are you using the BSA > Data Files Browser? It has the OMOD's name out to the side of each file it recognizes. If you cannot figure that out, reinstall the mods you think might have installed animations one at a time. This has nothing to do with plugins or saving...

Edit: If you hover over the files the name of the parent (the OMOD, if known) is displayed in the ToolTip.
