Enemy encounters

I'm aware of mods like Slinks ravage which increases the number of spawns, how would one go about increasing spawns with duplicating script in the mobs/event manager etc. Files? I'm after a way to increase encounters from fighting gangs of 10-20 enemies to 50-100 enemies, make the Deep Roads like the breeding grounds for the Darkspawn that they're made out to be. Cheers

If I remember right; There is a softcap (24) to how many entities the game can support with full AI. Even if you increased the cap the scripting is all single-core so I doubt people's computers could handle those numbers without huge conbat lag. There is a simplified AI for larger numbers, but I don't think those routines do much more then running up to closest enemy and autoattacking until dead.

Yeah. Ever wonder why a lot of people lag super-heavily in the final battle at Denerim? It's because Bioware clogged it with Darkspawn enemies to cut through. Even then, you only fought about 20 or 30 (at most) guys simultaneously, including AI soldier allies. You can imagine how bad the lag would be with 100 or more NPCs simultaneously fighting. Unless someone comes along to script in some amazing way to handle enemies, Ravage is the best option; try setting its difficulty to 5. Battles very early on in the game that used to have maybe 7 enemies at the max now have well over a dozen for me. His mod also adds a huge amount of variety to the Darkspawn. If you're looking for a mod that has respawning enemies though, try The Blood Works or Your Personal Castle. Bloodworks features a replayable "Survival Mode" at the end that functions as an arena, and YPC has an arena within it where you can fight three High Dragons that respawn.
