Tasinahri
I have an issue where some of the movie dialog cutscenes don't play properly. Most recently, it was an interaction with the guy in the chantry at Redcliffe, and Mordock right outside with the archers. I had Sten, Wynne, Morrigan, Oghren and Alistair active in the party at the time. I think it may be Wynne's dialog cutscenes that don't play properly. Or it might be Oghren's. His dialog cutscens will play on occasion (I have another post on here regarding something similiar). The reason I think it may be Oghren or Wynne is because I used the "runscript zz_selectparty" command before Wynne and Oghren had been properly added in the game. Any ideas? RustyBlade
You broke it when you used that command. The wiki states "it can break the plots for those companions which haven't yet been encountered/recruited in all sorts of horrible ways." You are either going to have to live with it or start a new game.
Tasinahri
That's kinda what I thought it might be. It only works on some of Oghren's cutscenes. And all of Wynne's. Tis ok though. I had an idea though: What if I started a new game, used the runscript debug command to put my character at the beginning of Redcliffe? (After the Nature of the Beast quest). By playing the game normally, at that point, Wynne and Oghren will have already joined the cast. Would that then work? RustyBlade
Unless by "Redcliffe" you mean after the landsmeet they would not necessarily have joined the party by then. As Alistair suggests, you are supposed to seek out the Arl first so you would not have done the circle or Orzammar before your first arrival at Redcliffe. RustyBlade
You don't necessarily have to take Wynne into your party but Oghren joins at the start of Paragon of Her Kind and is required at the end of that quest. By the time you start the quest The Landsmeet, you should have everyone in your party (at least the ones you want) other than Loghain. The Suggested order of play after leaving Lothering is:The Broken CircleThe Arl of RedcliffeThe Urn of Sacred AshesA Paragon of Her KindThe Nature of the Beastand then on to The Landsmeet. Tasinahri
Thank you so much. TBH, I didn't go in that order initially, as I went straight to Orzammar and the did the Anvil of the Void quest to get Oghren. I will go with the order you listed, via my new character. (created her last night, thinking I might need to start a new game cause of the movie cutscene issues) I'll use the debug script to put my toon at the beginning of the Broken Circle quest, then play in the order you suggest. Thank you for all your help :biggrin:Tas
