Face textures that match or something close...

There are plenty of different body mods to choose from for male characters. Most of them give you a detailed ripped body, abs and all included. It seems that the people making these mods left an important part of their package out: face textures that match the body. I've probably passed over something the solution hundreds of times, never paying it any mind. Anyone have a solution?

Are you referring to the nicely tanned body and stuck with a pale white face? or vice versa? And the dreaded neck seam? If so I agree, I spent hours trying to get my current character to match close enough. The best solution I could come up with was the neck seam Mod for the hgec body, then adjusting as best I could in the game with the showracemenu function, adjust the tone while you can see the whole body. One thing to keep in mind if you use that function is to save it before you exit the menu then reload. I guess it messes around with your stats/skills if you don't.

Yeah, I've been doing race editing on and off. I'm fairly proficient with the basics of managing my files through applications and the console. The neck has just always bothered me and I'm just now tending to it. There's actually a male seam reducer, but it's not Roberts. There's a neck seam reducer for Roberts that I've got, but it's not the seam that bothers me, it's the fact that my characters can't have a gruff and manly beard without looking strange. So all of my characters end up with the same skin color and nearly the same shape ( which isn't a product of the texture, just preference). Is the female seem reducer simply the headhuman file? I've got the mod in my OblivionMods/Meshes&Textures folder ( it's a separate folder for mod packs,I've started organizing the tons of mods I have so that I don't have to re-download them)....

The one from the link I posted has 3 base files, they were .egt files. A Body, UpperBodyHumanFemale, HeadHuman. These 3 were mesh files, Then there were also optional texture files that you could use. These were the foot, hand, head .dds files.

I haven't run into an issue with beards simply because I haven't played a male character yet lol, I would assume I would be in the same boat as you. Are you talking about stock facial hair? I have seen a few mods that offer "attachable" beards. I don't know how well they work, as I was writing this I remembered seeing some, maybe try that out if you haven't I guess it couldn't hurt. There might even be some within the apachii heroes store.

It's a good idea to keep mods separate. What I do and I use winrar, is click the ... on the top row of the list when I download something. Which brings me to the main archive I downloaded. I then move this to my desktop, place my files then place the archive in a Mod folder I have. I can't count how many times this has saved me from having to re-download.

Now, I've even got all of my old saves. Some of my very first ones from about 2 years ago, though they're inoperable. I had one character that I thought went perfect with a combination of Nightshades chest armor/gauntlets and another mods leggings and boots....

By facial hair, I do mean the stocks attempt at beards and such. I give them either light "whiskers" ( for a reference pic, google Mugen from Samurai Champloo) or a straight up "this thing on my chin and this thing under my nose are tougher than Mehrunes Dagon using the tgm" look. While the last one is a bit over-exaggerated, it does make the character look rough (in a good way). I've looked at some of the beard mods, but my "sculpting style" doesn't always suit the beards.

I stopped winrar a while back. 7-Zip takes care of everything. It also unzips huge texture packs way faster than winrar. My mod folder is arranged kind of like how the Nexus has its categories arranged. I remember now, using the console to edit your character and then clicking accept is essentially the same thing as starting a new character with fresh stats.
