An item fell into an endless void..?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, im pretty new to modding but im already halfway through my humble little mod...problem is, theres this item that i placed using the GECK in the world and i turned on the havok simulator thingy and i made a mistake, resulting in the item falling through the earth and now its like in the void...the Z coordinate is like -40000 or something like that. Is there a way to fix this or am i just screwed? Thanks again in advance.

EDIT: HOLY #($* ITS NOT -40000 but exactly -435790.28! omg.

Uh actually no. It was a model that was already in game..it was an empty soda bottle lol. Now whenever i load my mod it will display a warning that tells me that the empty soda bottle has a Z coordinate of -400000+. how annoying..

I'd be surprised if this didn't happen to everyone who develops a cell at least once. Its pretty easy to fix, as long as you know what the object was that fell. It is also important to remove this fallen object because the limits of your cell will become 'out-of-bounds' and cause your cell to crash or just not work. Use the filter on the cell view window (tick the check box to enable it) then type in the first few letter of the fallen object. You'll see a list of objects that match your filter. either double click on each or right click and select 'view'. This will move the render window to the object and highlight it. Once you have found the object this way (as there may be several of the same object in your cell), just hit the delete key. Problem solved.
