Jamisicus6
I meant simply use the tilesets and rocks and such that elsweyr used :PI still haven't gotten the hang of tilesets, or any landscape editing aside from manually placing every plant/rock, but I'm pretty sure you could use their tileset that will auto generate most trees and grass and such. It would be useful for fields too. Also, I just though of something: du Weldenvarden. It's going to be hard replicating that dense forest; if you have too many trees, it will crash the game or make it laggy as hell, even on the best systems. Although you could probably just make a thick line of trees all the way around the traversible areas (paths, elesmera, and the like) and have invisible barriers blocking entrance to behind the trees, so you could have empty expanses behind the trees that nobody would see without cheating. Once we have the world height mapped and landscaped we can create regions which will Auto Generate Trees, Rocks, etc. All we'd need to do is type in some numbers. I agree with Du weldenvarden, too many trees would be ridiculous. But, we have to bear in mind that the player could Fly over the forest, and if we put in empty spaces, these will be visible. Norinvaux
I think this deserves a bit of a bump. How far are you with the landscape? Once you're done with that (and once I'm done with another mod I've been working on for a while now) I'll see about making a city (exterior only) or two, and maybe some of the more important interiors (plot relevant ones). Landscaping is going OK. Haven't done much work this weekend but its coming along nicely. Have done Vorengard and most of the spine and am trying to get the Hadarac desert to have a few hills but other than that nearly finished other than fine detail work. Jamisicus6
Work is going well, I've got most of the world done now. Been working almost exclusively on the spine recently (getting it to look natural and stuff). Should have a basic landscape map finished by the end of November due to real life events all of this month and most of the next.
Clev
Hi guys :> (if you are still alive ^^) Im big fan on inheritance series, and im glad that somebody is finally doing a mod based on alagaesia  with oblivion graphics and free roam + those features you've added, its surely going to be epic.. I have couple of questions actually, becouse im going to buy oblivion after this mod is released (there's no good eragon game around atm) First of all: 1. Can i add this mod somehow to ps3 version of oblivion? I'd rather buy that one, becouse my computer sucks pretty bad.. 2. There's lots of oblivion games atm,and im pretty confused about that: which version is compatible with this mod? E: Oh,and this one: Could you took some pictures and post them here? Just to show us those things you've already done. I'll have some other questions too, about the mod itself, but they can wait :> Good luck to you. and sorry about my bad english. apa1994
I dont know if you can add this or any computer made mod to PS3, although I dont own a PS3 and therefore have never tried, so I dont know :P As for what oblivion game you should buy then I think any game that says oblivion on the front and has the oblivion logo on it would work just fine. And by the way, I'm new to the forums myself, but have been playing oblivion for 3-4 years now on and off. I have also been modding a little (especially scripting which is my favorite part) and I could be able to contribute with some stuff to this mod if you're still working on it. Jamisicus6
Don't worry, We're still here. You cannot install PC mods onto ANY console version of Oblivion or Morrowind. Unfortunately, they are not compatible as they use different types of file format (difficult to explain but its near as damn it impossible to set up a console mod). Oblivion currently comes in two versions, the original Oblivion and the Game of the Year edition. The only difference is that with GoTY edition you get Shivering Isles and Knights of the nine already installed instead of installing them separately. Any version of Oblivon will do, but some extra mods may be needed once we're finished (we will try to include most extra files from other mods but we might miss some). At the moment we are still in the designing stage, so any screenshots we could give you would be of the construction set (basically, with my version it will just be basic landscape with no trees, rocks, areas or towns (bearing in mind that Alagaesia is twice if no three times the size of The oblivion world, which took a good three or four years for bethseda to make (but we have the upgraded construction set, which bethesda did not whilst designing the world, making our job a whole lot easier.)) Just to you a sense of scale, dig out your old Inheritance books and look at the map...The oblivion world is roughly the size of the hadarac desert...Yeah, big project. apa1994
When the basic world is done I can be able to help "finishin" the rest. I can do interiors, cities and stuff. I can also script pretty descent and so I can help with script functions and quests. I'm not very good with NPC and that AI stuff though, and I can't make meshes. :P And one thought I had, should the player be Eragon? Cause that wouldn't make sence if you're teleported from Cyrodil. How about the player being some random character who choose side (i.e. good or evil) whil eragon goes about being good. Of course it would be very boring if the player went directly and killed eragon, but try finding him if the world is as big as you say. :P

This would mean that you would be able to choose good or evil (varden or Empire) and complete quests for that faction. However, once you travel so far down the quest line for one of the factions, the other becomes unavaliable because the other faction will just want to kill you. Thanks for the offer, send an email to the address on page one and I'll contact you directly with details of what we're planning for this.
Clev
Thanks! Quick answers. I love that huge map! I love games based on free travelling and exploring, not teleporting and smashing everything that moves..and so do many people: If you do this well, you're going to have many players, becouse (as i said) there's no eragon games released/even planning to do,but much of people are interested. Im sure you know that already, but still :whistling: Apa,that's pretty good idea: I've been thinking it myself too. Galbatorix still have one not-hatched dragon egg (or two,if this takes place to first book). And yeah,i know its green , but maybe it could randomise in this mod? Anyways, maybe first quest would be something like this: First you can just wander around doing what you want, exploring alagaesia etc. or then you can just go straight to the Nasuada. She tells you the story of the dragonriders, and also that Galbatorix still has two Dragon eggs. Becouse your powerful, intelligent and so good looking (err, maybe we leave that last part  ) she sends you to rescue those two eggs. After riding to uru'baen and fighting and sneaking and such a things you unfortunately manage to save only White/Blue/Red/Brown egg (depends which random color computer gives you) When returning to Nasuada, egg hatches to you. Now you just have to decide what do you wanna do: Return to nasuada (so join to the varden and help eragon), going back to Galbatorix (which means you beg his forgiveness and join to empire, and help murtagh in future) Or then just run away with the dragon, though it means that both (varden, the empire) are trying to catch and make you to join them. These are just my ideas, the way i would like to play  I know you guys have already done lots of work. And please, make dragons well :> Those akatosh mounts are nice, but in inheritance cycle (as you know, surely) they have 4 legs and they are thicker etc. you know what i mean ;) I just want to be sure this mod is going to be that what i've been waiting many years..Im sorry if i bother you. E: Oh,just noticed your message jami :o well,i like that system too. EE: Some Questions that just came in my mind: 1. How is magic going to work in this mod? 2. How "intelligent" your dragon is? I mean, becouse this is a game you wont be able to talk with it or something like that, but what commands/etc you can use? same ones as in akatosh:s mod?
