So yes this is completely possible.If you can find someone to make the effect shader I could do this pretty easily ( I can only slightly adjust the timings on them, not make new ones ). The combustion would also be really easy to make (if I had the sound effects/effect shader) depending on just how much of the power was wanted. On firepower02's comment. You can't teleport to a personal waypoint because it's actually in an entirely different worldspace (basically a place where you can't get to). As I'm, constantly improving I might be able to figure something out in the future but no guarantee. That's right, I'm glad that you will make it. Btw, I have an idea, if you use the orbing power outside of combat, it will bring up a menu of the places where you can go to, in combat, it's purpose it just to avoid attacks. Maybe metalskater will agree. I have looked in the creation kit where the waypoint is hidden, I could not find anything. I have to wonder how the clairvoyance spell will lead you to the waypoint, or the currently selected quest. Maybe how it's done, it could also be applied to it. I hope you can figure this out as it can also be used a different mod. I didn't even think of Clairvoyance! Nor did I know that it points you to your waypoint actually. I knew it could point you to quests, but I didn't like the spell so I never bothered with it. And I know when Piper gets that power, but when she uses it 9 out of 10 times there is music on the background, we don't want that, the Shimmering effect took me alot of time to find it, had to pick a random demon to get it, as when Cole aka Belthazor did it, there was always music in the background which made it unusable. Same goes for Leo's orbing as when he was summoned by the Elders and actually orbed some sister wether it be Piper, Paige, Phoebe or Prue was always talking when Leo orbed out. There's a stop ai script, which makes the npcs stop moving, but the other things in the world like projectiles could still move. The slow time would slow down everything, but it will affect everyone except the player. Piper's freezing will not affect blood relatives and will lose effect when hit, the slow time is timed, and only wears off when the time is up.I also did experiment with premonition, but it would be difficult seeing a possible alternate future in game, it would require a scene to play, and that means we have to make a future scene for every quest, and places or things to touch to trigger premonitions, since it is a passive power. I thought about stop ai briefly, but expected it could cause issues with some quest-based NPCs if used on them...though I suppose you could exclude them from being effected if it becomes an issue. I agree the premonition power would be quite involved, I'm not good with cutscenes, so I'd avoid that unless someone else was making them all. Paige's power would be a little difficult to replicate, definitely not on arrows flying at you for example. I am working on other things as well, so I'm not sure how much of this I'd have time for. When stop ai-ed while teleporting out, he will be out of sight, and he will only teleport back in when the effect wears off. Maybe it's best to have the stop ai script not affect any boss type characters, since early in the season, Piper's power don't affect upper level demons anyway, and to make it not too overpowered.Well except for projectiles and other objects, and when Paige calls out for the name of the thing/person she will orb. Orbing an enemy up so they would take fall damage, orbing them to magic school, and orbing them similar to unrelenting force, except one at a time, would be pretty easy to replicate. Her empathy power can be used to feel what other characters in game are feeling, it can be used to tell if they are lying, how much money it costs to bribe them, what they have in their inventory, what secrets they know, etc. In battle, it can actually be used to replicate the opponent's power like in the episode Used Karma, when she deflected the enemies fireballs. There are teleport spells that do the equivalent of orbing self already. So unless we can get the animation, there's not really any reason to do it :P. MetalSkater92 Posted November 15, 2014 Author Share Posted November 15, 2014 The Orbing animation itself can be quite tricky as you randomly dematerialse in orb particles and there is no specific pattern in which the orbs travel, if you look at Leo, his orbs are never the same, he materialised in random patterns depending on stance, if he orbs in while running (seen in the episode where the demon that tries to make future whitelighters kill themselves so they wont earn their wings) wehre Leo randomly orbs in running and jumps the demon his particles are so different than when he's standing, also different scenarios should be addressed, character afk where the knees are bent a bit, standing straight, sitting, etc because in every position, the orbs must materialse perfectly so you won't have a sitting character having a standing orbing animation where parts of the body won't dematerialise into orbs and some limbs sticking out etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
