Pluggy causes crashing

Pluggy makes my game crash.

I install it, launch the game, and the moment the dependent mod loads in game, it crashes. I don't think it is because of the dependent mod, I have tried with two already.

When I remove Pluggy, the game runs fine.

I'm trying to install both Kyoma's Journal Mod, and Map Marker Overhaul, which has a backup function that requires Pluggy.

I'm trying to use version125b, and what is this HUD functionality of Pluggy?

Pluggy requires OBSE. Do you have that installed as well? Which version? Are you remembering to start Oblivion with the OBSE launcher?

I've successfully used Pluggy with both of those mods (and neither of them requires the extended HUD functionality that was discovered to be bugged in ver 122).

Are you installing pluggy into Oblivion\Data\OBSE\plugins? Is Oblivion installed into C:Program Files< very bad idea for Windows Vista and 7 users,or C:Games<installing Oblivion (or Steam) outside of UAC monitoring is the reccommended method to avoid UAC interferring with mods and still enjoy the malware protection it offers. Use Oblivion Mod Manager(OBMM) and BOSS to sort your load order. When you load a game after installing pluggy properly, you get a message telling you that pluggy 1.25 is running. If I load an older save from when I used pluggy 1.25 I will get a message telling me that pluggy has been uprgraded to 1.32<hint,hint.

I am running the latest version of OBSE for the Steam version.

Did you do this?

>> notes: Steam users!!! OBSE will not work if this setting is not enabled: Steam > Settings > In-Game > Check the box marked "Enable steam community in-game".

Well yeah, that comes as default and there's no reason not to have it. It's enabled for me.

Many users apparently do not have that setting enabled, but that's good then...

Edit: Have you installed the v132 Dev version? Also, Pluggy adds a folder into the My Games\Oblivion folder. I think it is called Pluggy. Try deleting that. It also create files when you save. Delete the Pluggy files for your saves, if any have been created. I am not at my computer, so I cannot check for the exact extension at the moment, but I think it should be clear if they are present.

Edit: Are you sure OBSE is working? Please, post your load order.

Edit: Map Marker Overhaul only requires Pluggy if you use the prices add-on. Many do not. If you are not using that option, MMO is not crashing over Pluggy. The journal mod would, but it could also crash over UI mod incompatibility. Are you using any UI mods (which includes HotKey mods)?
