resetting quest stages

Is there a console command to reset all quest stages or a certain save game to the start of the game again? (the prison cell) I have a great looking cute elf but I made the mistake of not keeping that particular character's start separate and I overwrote it. I tried to just create a new one but obv another custom race mod is interfering because I can't get all the eyes, or hair to work. I'll check OBMM to see which in particular might be interfering (it's usually rens beauty pack) and just switch those off to create a new cute elf face if I have to. But if theres a console command to take everything to the start, it'd be a lot easier... since I have nearly 300 mods installed, and about 20 custom races. any help/advice would be appreciated. not interested in learning wrye bash or BAIN atm to import the face file as I just spent several weeks learning how to alter skin sets in photoshop and installing them.

If you get a save game at the beginning of the game, you would still have to import your character's face and race. You have to start a new game. As far as I know, there is not a console command to do what you are asking. If you post your load order, I could probably help you find the conflicting mod. On another note, you do not need BAIN if you use Wrye Bash, and Bash is not as complicated to install as some people make it out to be. The installation is about five or six steps, seriously. Importing is simple as well. Let me know if you want to learn. I'll leave a few pages with you anyway.

Thnks for answering Tom.... you really helped me out with installing QTP3 so I might give it a try. At that time I installed wrye bash as well. I just havn't spent the time learning it yet. I ran a conflict report after posting yesterday and switched off every other mod that it had conflicting with cute elves but no joy. I'll post a load order in a separate post..... it's a very long one.

All right. You have a number of conflicting cosmetic mods. You even have a few race mods that include Ren's hairs multiple times over. A load order like that could really benefit from a Bashed Patch. For one, Robert's mod is not compatible with Ren's Beauty Pack, and the Bashed Patch could help get around that. You also have mods that only need hairs imported. The Soya and TK hair packs are not compatible with Ren's mod, and the Combined Races, Eyes and Hair v2 has sounds like a compatibility disaster. The best thing for you to do would be to get rid of any race and cosmetic mods you do not actually use. It would require a lot of companions for one profile to make use of all of those, right?

 

You can just post your load order in spoiler tags. I've seen longer. Trust me, haha.

 

Install Bash via the instructions I posted earlier. If you have trouble launching it, let me know.

Yeah I think I had issues with Combined Hair and ...etc b4. So.... basically deactivate those 3 you listed and any race mods I don't actually use first? ( tbh I installed a lot of them because they had good looking saves that I couldn't reproduce myself. :) My favs are moonshadow, hidden elves, cute elves, chocolate, sonnet, and I have one or 2 saram characters I created and look great. Pretty much in that order.

Anyway I'll get started on that. and DL and install those things you linked. I have no idea what a spoiler tag is m8.

<-- You can see the tags when you reply or quote this post. If you have installed Wrye Bash, you can use save profiles. That will allow you to have different plugin lists associated with different saves. If you get rid of your conflicts, you do not have to do that, however. I use profiles to test different plugin lists and whatnot. Keep in mind that the Bashed Patch is LO sensitive. If you make any changes to your load order, you should rebuild it. Therefore, if you do use save profiles, and some of them have Bashed Patches, make a separate Bashed Patch for each profile that needs one. You can duplicate your current Bashed Patch to make copies.

I placed that BOSS doc into the oblivion/data folder but wrye bash won't start. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and same thing. I might just have to switch off everything except what I'm actually using for a game I'm playing. Cause I'm already really discouraged. It's why I nvr messed with wrye so far.
