No I don't have MSWord I guess. found a torrent for MSWord 2007 and it's DL'ing. My connection is being slow today so when I get it done I'll check out BOMM again. I *think* I got a bashed patch done for my load order... I still don't understand what bashed tags are for. On saves tho... I have 3 that won't load so I'm pretty certain I don't have the correct masters. (think I need to reinstall lattamer... I had it installed at one point but removed it and installed lattamerv3) My Q I guess is when you right click on a save and in the middle it says Find Masters or something like that.... does it scan your puter for the masters.... Or internet? I'll look into it myself after I get the stuff done on Eve I need to... I'm trying to not totally mess everything up tho by pressing something I shouldn't :) I'll also search for the descritption of the save file on tesnexus. Anyway one other thing, I read on that link you gave me for TES:Positive that OBMM doesn't like manually installed mods, and ones that are will show up as having conflicts when they really don't. Should I always create an omod for every single mod? I'll do that next time I have to do a clean installation, since I can't get OOO or MMM to work and it recommends a clean installation. I might have DL'd the full OOO and not lite..... I read only OOO lite is compatible. Anyway I know that's several things but any insights you can give are welecome. Thnks for the help

You probably read OOO FULL is compatible. You have to use FULL for FCOM. You have to use FULL for MMMforOOO if going for the OOO1.34b5 update because that update only supports the full version.

 

I definitely recommend converting all mods into OMODs. That will save you much trouble in the long run.

I'm totally lost on the BOMM configuration. I did the first part....created a "Doc Macros" folder in my documents and copied the BOSS Masterlist Manager into it.... made the shortcut, etc. Step by step.... just as it says on TESPOSItive. Then opened and enabled Macro handling or whatever in MSOffice 2007... corrected top line to L:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Doc Macros\ ... saved changes and closed.... opened the shortcut and it says that the Masterlist isn't in this folder. I even tried copying the masterlist update .txt .... (june 28) and it has error code 52.

You shouldn't be copying the masterlist anywhere. That would not help at all. If you read the config instructions on the second page, it says to change the file path to the masterlist (one of the first three settings) to the directory with the masterlist in it. That is the path to your Oblivion Data folder. For me, that would be C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data

 

That is the only line you must change in the doc file.

Cool.... got it working, thnks Tom. What I think happened was that I Dl'd BOSS GUI v0.04 and either it extracted the masterlist to my desktop... or it instructed me to. Not sure which but it doesn't really matter. Then I scrolled down on the BOMM document and it got me really confused. Saying something about BOSS F: (or BOMM:F ..... neither of which are anywhere up at the top or anywhere in the entire section... and then first said to change the first line (probably to what you wrote :P) but then said don't change the SVN then proceeded to instruct me to change 2 lines (has stuff in the change like FO3Masterlist.txt,etc.... I assume that's the website it contacts) Anyway the point is that there arn't 4 lines.... theres only 3.... and if I don't need to change the first 2... whats going on with the instructions for 2 more line changes? So from then on I was lost.

Oh, I guess it wasn't Eldrac's Armory that was causing those issues.... and I really have no good idea which one is. And what I said about OOO Full and OOO Lite had to do to something I saw in wrye (or BOSS report using wrye) about an incompatibility between MMM Gemdust and Gemstones (not sure about the exact spelling) and OOO Full..... maybe that's what FCOM is supposed to clear up... no clue and again.... since I'm mainly interested in learning how BOSS and BOMM works and what I can do to better integrate my mods, sort them so they work, or identify which are simply not going to work together, etc.... it doesn't matter.... :)

I guess a Q I do have tho is.... why is BOMM better than just using BOSS Gui.... I get the manual updating the masterlist thing (I think) but I noticed a lot more recognized Mods and Bashed Tags for all of them now. (Still have no idea what a Bashed Tag is tho.. I assume it's instructions)

Thnks for the help Tom..... I do appreciate it... but saying something about me not reading instructions or I must have not read it doesn't really help m8..... I'm not an computer programmer and everything I've seen about these apps assumes (even says it in wrye) a level of expertise that I certainly don't have yet, and a lot of people don't. Case in point the instructions you spoke of in your last would be so much clearer and I wouldn't have needed any further help if there had been a simple example like you gave = problem solved. It reminds me of what imo is a horrible mod Mystery of Mausoleum where a very large number (including me) of people where having crashes when entering a certain place and the creators were asking for tons of diagnostics tests instead of just making it clear that if you you don't have a certain file in your Pluggy file to Create One, and place the Mom .ini into it. = problem solved.

I'm not trying to make you angry... after all.... you are the only one helping me....lol It definitely increases the frustration factor..... and maybe it's why I see so many people NOT using this stuff. Would be nice if more people were helping tbh.... anyway I'm done venting, I promise :)
