AnubisDracul Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Well, I know how to disable the vampire aging effect but I'd also like to know if it is possible to disable that stupid skin color change. I want to keep my selected skin color if becoming a vampire. I've learned that it must have something to do with the vampirism skill effect. Unfortunately I couldn't find any clues in the CS to change that effect but it must be possible. Everything happens for a reason... o_O
Cyborg16 Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 I can't help you myself, but you might (or might not) find this useful.
red_mist Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 Sorry I can't help you, but how do you disable the aging effect? If I could do that, I might actually play as a vampire.
Xandhoniox Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Okay, to answer both questions: The vampire skin change is hard coded within the actual vampirism spell effect. But there is a way to disable it. I don't know how he/she did it, but Scanti has a mod called "Vampire Race Disabler" that can disable everything that the vampirism effect changes physically, including skin color and aging, and can be customized to disable certain effects while maintaining others (so if you want to disable skin color changes and aging, but want your eye color to change and your face to morph into the starving look, you can). And for just disabling the aging effect, there is also another alternative. Go into the Game Settings in the CS and alter the iVampirismAgingOffset value to pretty much any negative number (the most popular is -200, as I understand). That way, if you have a young-looking character, they stay young-looking as a vampire. They still change in appearance a bit, but that's because of the hard coding. Of the two, red_mist, I'd choose Scanti's mod. It's much more aesthetically pleasing in my opinion.
