HuggableCube
this isnt a amajor issue, just annoying basically sometimes.. well most times... when the camera pans, any grass or other things like plants seem to dissapear when the screen gets near, im not sure if im explaining this well enough, it just gets rather distracting
danscott84
Ok, is the grass disappearing that you are panning to, or away from. In other words, when the camera pans to a spot, the grass disappears there, or does it disappear as the camera pans away from that spot?

danscott84
Ok, so I am guessing you see it in the center but not the edges of the screen. What are your video settings in the game? Frame Buffer on/off? Anti-aliasing on/off? Texture detail setting? These may be why it's doing this. Depending on the setting it will "shutoff" those graphics not in the center to save memory and run more smoothly without lag time.

When the selected character (or more accurately, the camera's POV) is at certain distances from them, and is attempting to look in certain directions, there is a by-design removal of the visible vegetation, construction, and even actor elements. It's why you suddenly go transparent when pressed too closely against a wall and swing the POV around to look "through" yourself at what's behind you. I first consciously noticed it in Haven. Standing at the top of the hill next to the Chantry and looking down at the village I had tall pines popping in-and-out of existence depending on which way I looked! Sometimes I could see the houses, sometimes only the trees, all without moving my feet... just the camera.
