lovender
I'm glad people made the Reins - the horse's steering device..Even in Zira's Medieval horse clothes mod, there are beautiful reins that match the clothes. BUT WHERE ARE THE STIRRUP TO HOLD THE FOOT??? When u'r on horse & run, u could see the rider's foot move beautifully...imagine if there are the stirrups there...it will be more realistic! MEDIEVAL WARFARE Oddly enough, stirrups played a very important role in the evolution of medieval warfare. Prior to the Medieval Ages, cavalrymen had difficulty controlling their horses and maintaining their balance. The solution to this problem was found in a few leather straps. About 500 AD, nomads in Inner Asia created "foot loops" which quickly evolved into stirrups. Now the rider had improved control of the horse, could stand in the stirrups to shoot arrows, and brace for an impact. With the rider now stabilized on the horse, it became much more difficult to knock them off their mounts. Throughout the medieval period many different styles of stirrups were used in an attempt to find the perfect design suitable for medieval warfare and medieval jousting. Silverblaze55
I second this. The saddles really do need stirrups. If I had more experiance with Blender (if I could get blender to work) I might try to make them myself... but no such luck. If anyone is interested in trying this, I would suggest using the following picture as a base ref. instead of that english stirrup up there ^^ and changing the colors and adding a pattern to the side to match the saddle. http://images.auctionants.com/57-98300.jpg
