Hit Sound on a Base Effect

Hi,

 

I added a custom sound on a Base Effect. I set it to play when it hits a target. Thing is, when the Base Effect hits the target, the sound plays but sounds very muffled and as if the sound was played multiple times, overlapping each other.

 

This effect is based on the FOSE command "GetCrossHairRef" so when I point my cross hair at a target and hit the trigger button in my script, it should technically only cast the effect once.

 

Yet, it sounds as if it is casting it multiple times.

 

Weird thing is that the sound plays perfectly sometimes but most of the time it sounds like I described above.

 

Do I have to play with the sliders in the Sound menu in GECK?

 

Please advise.
