Low fps in cities...

My game is allright outside the cities but as soon as I walk in I start lagging like crazy it doesnt go above 12 fps in any of the towns...

In houses/caves my fps stays at 30 so it does outside but in tows its 12...

my specs

E2220 @ 2.4ghz (Overclocked) --> 2.7ghz

RAM 4gb DDR2

Video Card Radeon 5750 1gig memory

 

I have anti sluttering and anti crash Obse extensions installed as well as a number of mods(below)

Unless, you are willing to play BC with the FPS trade-off. I do not agree with how he said it, but his guy is right about you not seeing amazing FPS with BC installed, OP, but only people with the $1000 CPUs are. If you can get your FPS in the higher teens with your rig, you are doing well. People with Desktops are happy to see it run at 20FPS in (most) cities. BC's description tells you that you are going to see an FPS drop.

For some reason it feels like something small is causing this problem coz sometimes I look one way in city I get <10 and when I turn around I get about 20-25...

Architecture means more than dollars, and, for Oblivion, CPU power means more than GPU power. There are tons of GPUs that are overkill for Oblivion these days. Your card is fine too. The problem is your CPU.

 

If you do not want Streamline changing settings to try and keep your FPS range (which is the default unless you've changed it) turn of StreamSmooth. Access the SL menu in-game (CTRL+Home) and turn off that feature.

 

The reason why your FPS drops in some directions is because the density of NPCs in that direction is greater, meaning the CPU has to do more processing. That is totally normal. You will have to get used to it, or drop BC.

 

 

In the future, please post your load order through OBMM > Import/Export View Load order or Wrye Bash in the future. They are easier to read than the BOSS log, which usually contains a ton of extraneous information.

Alright i guess ill just have to live with the lag. In any case cities are just for shopping and resting even if it lags i dont mind that much. The StreamLine helped a bit I can live with what I got after few modifications thx every1
