Saving face?

So the topic title will make sense in a minute if it doesnt already lol.

 

Heres the deal, i resent had to do a full dump of my Oblivion folders and re-install. Now that i've done that and the game is working i replaced my saves back into the game and low and behold........ i still cannot open the "Showracemenu" command on my character. Each and everytime i punch in the command my game crashes. My questions are these.

 

#1: Does anybody know of a way to make my client stop crashing on my character when i access the "Showracemenu"?

 

or if not, or if its too complicated:

 

#2: Is there any way that i can transfer the face build on my old character to a new character exactly? Ive spent a few hours trying to re-make her with only marginal success.... its just not the same ya know? I dont want to loose Eiryka to this, so im really hoping that there is something that can be done.

I don't but I do know a mod that enables you to change race in mid-game.

It adds a house outside Cheydenhall's Stable that has birthsign, class, and race altars (I use it to make final tweaks if I have to)

I guess i can install it and see if it allows me to edit it her, thanks for the suggestion.

The race alter in that mod crashes the game when i access it with that particular character..... It was a good try. Does anybody know of mods or methods of moving face structure information from one character to another?

 

Btw the reason why this is all very bad is because her eyes and hair are now changed because of the re-install. The eyes due to use of elaborate eyes do not display correctly, and her hair is "Shaved" short like a guy. Obviously i cant use that XD

don't you think you should first worry about why the game crashes?

you should make sure all your mods are properly installed, and try to fix the crashes

theres no way i can re-install all of my mods (I had way too many), im fairly sure its my hair mod, i had to install it using TES contruction last time and i dont know what i named it last time. This time its different and cant find it... im pretty sure its crashing the game when i open showracemenu.

wait a minute, have you started a new char, or are you using an existing save game?

 

Edit: if you are using an existing save, that i think you should try to make a clean save, and then stuff should work better

just reinstall the mods that you've had

than everything should work just fine

I did not even see the crash thing. OP, post your load order. That should be a mod conflict problem:

Have you changed your PC's race recently or removed a cosmetic mod with which you created your character?
