Mods That Work Well Together

Not sure if this should be posted here or the mod subforum, so feel free to shift the location if necessary.

 

Anyways, I've been sitting here for a few days playing with mods and trying to get a decent amount of mods to work nicely with one another, especially without texture or mesh glitches (! or pink faces... that kind of stuff).

 

I've pretty much had to reinstall FO3 about once or twice a day because I just confuse myself with all these mods I'm trying.

 

So what I am looking for is an exact FOMM printout of mods that other users all use and work well together with minimal crashing and no texture/mesh messes. I suppose this list would need to include any texture/mesh mods that don't need esms/esps to work.

 

I've got a PC that can handle anything (except for my thirst to add more mods... I'm stubborn, really), so I am looking for a good trade-off for stability + gameplay and visual mods that will make playing through the game fun as well as adding extras that I can use while exploring.

 

I think having a thread where users can post their working FOMM lists stickied would be a great idea, as well. Maybe I missed that or there is already a thread for it, and if so, point me in the right direction!

For example, put something like a revamp mod higher up, but keep a simple radio station down

Everything there works fine and dandy except Amy Wong. Makes some male characters go exclamation mark on me.

You could also try some retexture packs, or body aeisthetics mods, they may be able to fix your exclamation mark, or if all else fails, back up all of your saves, and mods that you are 100% sure will work with out any issues, and do a reinstall of Fallout.

I've got Breeze Male's, Type3 and NMCs high-rez retexture packs on there already. You think adding those in again would make a difference? I suppose if Amy fails I can live without her, but she seems like the most versatile companion, especially with her travel/trade system.

Your graphics card shouldnt be a problem, the temperatures seem a little above average, i would look into that. I dont think it would be temperature related, but you may want to try turning your computer off over night, then boot it back up and immediatly try, just so we can eliminate the graphics card from the question. Next try download CPU-Z, there may be a slag on that end of the rope, lets just try that, so then again if you dont mind, downlod CPU-Z, and post screen shot.

I've got an i7 980x overclocked to 3.91 G so I'm thinking that won't be a problem. It went through prime95 for 24 hours without a hitch, so I'm thinking it probably isn't a problem. I've got my ram running arounb 1400 at 6-7-6-18 times, so pretty fast. Again, no memory issues either. I really don't want to post any images to make you guys drool over my system. :p

 

And the 480 is naturally a hot card, but yeah, shouldn't be that hot. Couldn't tell you why, but I think it might be a sensor issue.

 

The "!"s only appear when Amy is activated, otherwise FO3 starts off smoothly so the likely hood of it being connected to a GPU, memory, or CPU issue can probably be knocked out. I think it is weird that Amy would interfere with any other textures though. Possible project beauty or type3 clash I guess?

 

EDIT - Started playing there and there are a few glitches. RR Companions hates me, so that has to be shut down completely.
