uninstall skyrim then find the file where u first installed the game and delete everything in that file, after that install skyrim again and it should be working

Haha, doesn't work

I just went through this adding Skyrim ( and some other games) to a new computer - downloaded Steam, installed it to E:\ drive ( NOT the default location) Path is E:\Games\Steam - steam will find that and use it to install

Then NMM, E:\Games\Nexus Mod manager

LOOT: E:\Games\LOOT

Wrye Bash E:\Games\Wrye Bash

Any other utility programs each in it's own separate folder ( to make maintenance easy)

Do you begin to see a pattern here?

Used Steam to install Skyrim - started Skyrim FROM STEAM and made a save. (NO mods, NO SKSE yet)

Moved all of my old save games and mods to the new locations -

Installed SKSE (SKSE installs in the Skyrim folder inside of Steam)

Ran NMM and set it up for the games I have - Set NMM to start Skyrim using SKSE

Ran LOOT to organize my load order - closed loot when done

Started NMM and looked at my mods, Started Skyrim using NMM ( with SKSE) - it worked.

Now went in and made my custom changes to the ini file - tested - it worked.

I now have Steam with Skyrim installed and working on both computers. - this is allowed as long as I only use one at a time.

Added a few new mods using NMM - ran LOOT and then NMM - it worked.

My copy of Oblivion is NOT a steam version, But the original collector's edition version. ( Came with a nice wall map, book and a coin) So it goes in E:\Games\Oblivion - NMM will find it there and work with it

Any non steam games get their own separate folder inside of the E:\Games folder

I will try, but don't understand :/
