varathiel
Hi boys ( and girls ofc) i have a little problem in DA Origins: i'm in Lothering and i have just rescued Bodhan and son from dark spawn so now i can gather my group and continue my adventure. And here comes the problem: the loading screen is unending. No error message or anything, simply it says loading and loading ecc...Any suggestion? Thanks P.S. sorry for my english
RustyBlade
Only suggestion is to go back to your last save and do over and hope it doesn't happen again. You haven't said anything about installed mods but even without the game does sometimes lock up and eat itself.
varathiel
Oh yes soz i forgot about mods, i have some mod installed like new weapons / armor ,hairstyles and quests / dungeons
danscott84
Regradless of the mods, I think RustyBlade is right. The game has a reputation of randomly crashing. Sounds like this is a case instead of crashing back to Windows, it just hangs up the system.
Advize
It might have just been a super long loading screen, the loading screens in dragon age tend to take longer the longer you've been playing. Closing the game every once in a while and reopening always helps.
varathiel
And if i try to uninstall and then install again the game, could work?
DarkeWolf
Theres also an issue with a mod called Personal Annoyance Remover (Or PAR for short) that causes some problems with area transitions sometimes. If you're running that mod, try uninstalling it and see if that solves the problem. Are you running any mods that affect the party camp?
varathiel
Yes i have some mod that affect the party camp, but not PAR
DarkeWolf
You might try deactivating or uninstalling the mod that affects the party camp. Its possible that you might have a conflict there. I'm told that the party camp that you go to from Lothering is not the same party camp that you normally go to. I'm not sure if this is true or not, I have however noticed that sometimes my storage NPC in the camp doesn't spawn my first time into camp though. IF that helps with the transition from Lothering, leave it deactivated/uninstalled until you get a chance to leave the camp and return. Save the game there, and then try reinstalling it/reactivating it and see if that works. [Edit-] And if some of those party camp mods are really old mods, you might try reactivating them one at a time testing it between reactivations. Some of those old party camp mods were before they learned how to create "dummy" scenes. And basically had to create a new camp for each add in. Those different camp maps can conflict. [/edit] I hope that will do it. I dont want you to have to completely uninstall and reinstall the game if you don't have to.
RustyBlade
and quests / dungeons Are you trying to enter one of those when it is loading... loading... loading? Just a thought. Also, I once made the mistake of saving the game inside the Redcliffe chantry. When I resumed it took soooooooo long to load that I almost end-tasked the game. There are other areas that take a while too. I'm told that the party camp that you go to from Lothering is not the same party camp that you normally go to. I'm not sure if this is true or not, I have however noticed that sometimes my storage NPC in the camp doesn't spawn my first time into camp though. The only mod/DLC that activates in the camp after leaving Lothering for the first time and the camp where the Shrieks attack the party is the Wardens Keep DLC (Levi Dryden.) Nothing else will appear in those two camps.
