Phalanx21
Fallout 3 unofficial patch is pretty good, it fixes any bugs or glitches you may run across, and i would also recommend getting the official Fallout 3 1.7 Patch (Get it here <a href='http://fallout.bethsoft.com/index.html).' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>http://fallout.beths...om/index.html).</a> If you buy the Addon "Broken Steel" It will add new perks so i wouldnt get any more, and if you have a High-end Graphics card, i wouldnt unless you have a Geforce 200 series or ATI Raedon 4000 series (or better). And there are a few mods floating around that will help, i can give you a tweaked .ini file that will increase graphics as well as performance! (To install the .ini, go to My Documents -> My Games -> Fallout 3 -> FALLOUT.INI and replace the text in that file with the one i will give you, DONT FORGET TO BACK UP THE ORIGINAL .INI!) falloutperson416
You should get the unofficial patch, deffinently. The new perks, is ok. I'm not crazy about it, but it's up to you.The HI RES textures is pretty cool, again though, up to you. You can get a better game performance mod here, http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13520 This increases game performance. I don't know of any bug fixers. Hope this helps, - Falloutperson416
FatalIllusion
Yes the fixes are really good,I am just thinking if the patch makes the game crash too much time(patch 1.7 already installed).I got broken steel^^;where I can find this .ini file? I got nmc's texture full pack, just wondering about expansion's textures hires because in some comments people say that textures are worse than original ones.About the new perks I was wondering..fallout3,even with expansion, has a limit of skills points..how should I be able to get all? WastelandAssassin
i can only really tell you about the perksif this is your first playthrough of Fallout 3, i wouldn't recommend using any mods that change the game, just so you could experiance the game as it was released (well, minus the bugs, and with Broken Steel XD)if this isn't your first playthrough, and you have seen enough of the original perks, then i would really recommend some of the perk mods aroundhttp://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1409 this is the perk mod that i use, which is really greathttp://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6190 this is another perk mod, one that is supposed to be great, but i never tried it best of luck, and enjoy Fallout 3 :)
Phalanx21
I would get a bit familiar with the game before you add any mods, just at least until you get out of the vault.

Ultimate perk pack is a great perk modthe perks are rather balanced, and there are many perks to choose from, so you can have several very different choicesnow, of course it could be a little overpowered, but that will come on the expense of other perks (meaning that you chan choose some perks that will make you very strong, but then you won't be able to choose other types of perks, i know the explanation isn't very good, but you need to play to understand)the thing is, i would recommend that you try the game once without the extra perks, just to see how you should play, so that you can make the best choices, if you do get perk packs
falloutperson416
I really think the game is good without add. perks. Not to say that the mod is not good, infact the perks are awsome.
