readmore
Yeah, the title says it all. I've been playing Oblivion on an iMac under Mac OS 10.6, Bootcamp and Windows XP. I've tried dozens if not hundreds of mods and nearly all ran just fine. When they haven't, it seems to have been a typical mod conflict, not a Mac/Windows issue. Just for a rundown, I've successfully installed OBSE, OBMM, Wrye Bash, Fraps, Better Cities, COBL, Natural Environments, several vampire overhauls, and countless weapons and armors. The only problems I have experienced have been occasional slowdowns when running some of the more extensive ones like Better Cities. As far as I can tell, running Bootcamp on a Mac is nearly identical to running Windows on a PC. I don't know if the same holds true for emulators like Parallels or VMWare Fusion. 2 caveats -- if your Macbook does not have a separate graphics card, you might be in for a disappointment. And, be sure and make your Bootcamp partition big enough. I went for 30 GB, and that has turned out to be way too small. Mods eat up a lot of space, and so does Windows.
