Tarhiel... saved?

(Possible Spoiler)

I didn't think it was possible, but my cousin managed to save the famous falling mage from his death. I'm not sure what he is supposed to be used for now, which is why I'm asking. When my cousin tries to talk to him, he says "I don't want to talk about it." Then you have to click Goodbye.

I wouldn't usually think there was more to it then this, but he has "Barter" and "Repair", like some kind of shopkeeper. Any ideas?

Thanks,

DN

My cousin used a Slowfall spell to stop him from hitting the ground. He created the spell himself, and the effects of it were: Slowfall 2-5pts for 20 seconds in a 10ft area on target. Tarhiel does actually fall and you do see him die, and my cousin did save him because he is now alive. On another note, I'm talking about the Xbox version.

Anyone else know what to do or what can be done?

I'm on xbox too, and I've theorized doing that, but i just liked to see him fall, so i never did. What you can do though is just talk to him quickly before he touches the ground, he says the same things as you said he said. " i dont want to talk about it"

his only purpose is to die, thus giving you the icarian flight scrolls, thus giving you another clue as to why he died.

I went crazy and started adding mods once and one of them must have messed it up. He just kept standing on his journal, but he wouldn't talk to me. Maybe if you disabled the goodbye result in the editor you could buy his scrolls off him over and over again

Not likely. the goodbye result comes on several NPCs in the game, and you probably coudn't buy the scrolls.... they just are in his inventory. They'd only be there if you pickpocketed/murdered him. I wonder if anyone has made a mod which causes him to be at 0 fatgue or something: Then he woudn't be standing when he fell. He looks, to put it mildly, ludicrous.
