change X-COM logo texture?

I was wondering if you can change the X-COM logo on the soldiers' uniforms to something else?

If it is a separate texture, that is, maybe it's possible. I had this idea that I wanted to change it to the GDI logo from C&C, since they can have sand coloured armour.

Yes, it can be done. Most common way uses the tool "TexMod". Very recently "texture replacement" has been done using the ''UDK'', but is more complicated and not really needed for simple flag replacement.

 

If you want a mod that already exists, here is a sand-colored logo.

 

If you prefer to "roll your own", start with the wiki article "Modifying Textures - XCOM:EU 2012" and the other articles linked there.

It wasn't actually the flag I want to replace, it's to badge on their breastplate and on the jets.

Sorry about that, I wasn't sure what to call it. I wanna replace it with the GDI logo from Command & Conquer. Something like this:

I could always go the other way and change to "The Brotherhood of NOD" but I like being the good guys :P

Is it still possible? I'm also using the Long War mod if that's a factor.

Hi imolark,

 

it is not separated texture. The logo is part of model textures sou you would have to edit a texture for every armor, armor deco, some hats/helmets, SHIV and jet. Around 70+ textures.
