Are you running Windows Vista or 7 as an operating system and is your game installed in C:Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion? If you have answered yes then you need to move your game outside of C:Program Files and UAC monitoring. Most people use C:Games\Oblivion to avoid the problems of playing a heavily modded Oblivion and still have the protection UAC provides for thier computer(s). If you are using the Steam version then you should install Steam outside of Program Files, then move your Steam games to the new folder
