Tears of the Fiend weirdness

Okay, I'm trying not to laugh as I explain what just happened in my game. I should have gotten a screen shot, but it definitely would have been NSFW!

I recently started a new game, and I have the Tears of the Fiend mod installed, so after sleeping for the first time Edward Pellew showed up in my inn room. Normal. Unfortunately, I had completely forgotten about his appearance (been awhile since I started a new game) and my character was sleeping nude and without a weapon in her inventory at all. So suffice it to say, a few minutes later Pellew killed her pretty easily. The usual "load a saved game" menu appeared after death, and I re-loaded the last autosave, the one that was created automatically when I went to sleep. The game loaded, there I am back in my inn bed asleep, here comes Pellew... errr.

He's not wearing any clothes. Not a stitch. And I've got Robert's Male installed, so I can see EVERYTHING. Pellew starts up his usual speech again, apparently not concerned by the fact that he's prattling on about bounty hunting while we're both mother naked. This time I killed him pretty easily seeing as how he had no weapon or armor either, but I had a Flare spell and he didn't. He gave me the usual sad speech about origins, I let him live, and he disappeared out the door into the inn hallway, still displaying his bits for all to see.

I don't think this has mucked up the quest, since as far as I know Pellew doesn't have to be wearing clothing for your defeat of him to count, but still.... what the hell was up with that?!

The oblivion (and Fallout 3) engines are really bad for reusing old information. For example, if you have a furniture mod, and you put a chair in the middle of a room, then load a previous save file, the chair will still be there, even though you didn't place it there in that certain save file. The naked NPC glitch is one of the more humorous bugs caused by this phenomenon. It's nothing to worry about, it's just the engine being the engine. :P
