thank you, I will do that!

EDIT: Okay I followed all the instructions and it indeed worked. I think winrar itself was the problem cause I used 7zip instead of winrar and it worked. Now I gotta see if it's in the game.

Thank you!

I'm having mucho problemo's with mods. CM partners works, but every other one I have doesn't. I've the esp files in the oblivion data folder, but for some reason, when I try to use Ren's beauty pack it doesn't work (there is no face to the character, and they have pink arms) when I tried to use the Adriana CM partner, everything's fine except she has a black face an no hair. Any help would be much appreciated.

So I am installing FCOM and I am at Marty's mod...how do I test it out to make sure it works, the guide says not to load certain things so how do I test Oblivion with just OOO and MARTY? :wallbash:

I'm sure this question has been answered but I am not having luck searching for it at the moment. What are some free programs to help me open up the .rar files that I am downloading? I get the "Windows cannot open this file" message. Sorry for the lame question, I know it's simple but I am just failing at making it happen.

RAR files, as well as 7z and zip are all compressed files. We use compressed files for downloading because they take up less space, download much faster and are safer.

All of these can be uncompressed Unzipped by the FREE 7-Zip program available right here on The Nexus. http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15579

This is a self installing program, be sure to associate all of the compressed formats - rar, tug, zip and 7z so it sill automatically unzip them also.

If you need more help with this I have a set of help files for people who are not computer geeks and are new to mods. They include downloading, extracting (unzipping) installing and activating mods. I have included a simple mod to practice on and instructions for installing and using 7-zip. If you are interested, click on the highlighted link below to be taken to the site where they are kept. I recommend starting with #1 and working your way through them.

If you use them I would appreciate some feedback as to what needs improvement and what works for you.
