How To Install Plugins/mods

Dios mio, this is vexing. :wallbash: I'm sorry if this is a simple fix or something I overlooked.

 

I'm not sure what to say, the mods don't... work. I've put everything in it's proper place, activated the .esp's, but nothing happens, I'm trying to install race mods. I've gotten the correct [insert name of the Better Bodies-esque Mod here], and installed them all, yet no additional race options are available oin the character creation. What am I missing? Also, the tutorialskip doesn't work either, which indicates to me that it's a universal mod problem, not just I'm doing races wrong.

 

And I got a head start with Morrowind, I must just be stupid. >.>

Edit: Just fixed it by Patching to the latest game version. >.< Why didn't I think to do that first.

sooo im a complete newbie...

 

i want to download some of the cool mods for this game but.. im an idiot lol

 

i see talk about meshes and stuff. i tried to download the CS but i dont know where to save it to cuz when i try to download patcher it says it cant find the CS. i figured gettin the CS downloaded would be my first step to downloading mods.

 

can someone step me through this please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: ;-; for some reason, whenever i download a non-OMOD mod, i can't seem to install it, because when i open the file, it reveals only 1 file, if i open THAT file, it opens a page up and asks me to: [Open] or [save]. If i click [Open], i get the same page asking to open or to save. If i click [save], I save at a new file and the procedure starts a new ;-;! HALP ME PLZ! :( :( :( :( :(

 

(btw: this is happening with korean, ren, and apachi mods!) appreciate help :)

i need help as well, when i download files im not getting a compressed folder, im just getting a file that when i double click on it or try to open it, it tells me windows cannot open that file, can anyone please help?

Most likely its a .rar file so download WinRar to open it.

Newbies, rar extension means you use winrar or winzip or 7zip.. Come on.. It's the basics ;)

OK this is my first time @ a forum and I need some advice. I've been play'n the standard Ob out of the box and after reading forum inputs @ nexus n' looking over all the mods I'd

like to get the very most oot of the game that I can. I just ordered SI n' want KotN befor I start collecting the mods I'd like to run. My prob is from what I've read I can't download

KotN running Win Vista, I've looked a couple of places on-line and can't find the disk without buying the Ob delux edition that has it included-- ANY HELP HERE?

 

Also am I going to have major probs downloading and installing the mods?

I would like to request some help with mods and how to use them. I want to load the Shadow ranger mod, Francescos_, OOO_\

and some other fun mods..

I have read about 5 pages of responces about mod help but im sorry to say im still a bit confused. so here are a few questions.

do i 7.zip the files into the oblivion/data file? or do i first unzip them into there other folders ( textures, music, ect )? that part is kinda messing me up. i got a few to work

but when i tried to load the shadow ranger file i could not get it to work.. and also with the shadow ranger classe how do i play a ranger in the game..i just see an archery class

I've got a weird problem- I've tried to download the mod called Ren Beauty Pack and everything went correctly untill I tried to tutn it on. I had copied the folder into data like the read me said, start the launcher and "crros" it in the data. I had also downloded the required Races Fix mod and I had crrosed it in the data. But when I've startaed the game and chosed new game- I wanted to crate mystic elf- I chosed that from the races selection- the perspective changed and my character was purple and didn't had head- only mouth and ears! :wallbash: I've installed the 1.2 patch, but it didn't do anything! PLEASE HALP ME! I have also tried to download the exnem's body replaycer and I did everything like the instruction said- so I copied it into data, but when I started the game it didn't even show up in data! (Duble) PLEASE HEALP ME!

Well here I am right.....But I have this question, I have been installing mods since Morrowind but I always installed them manually.

I have seen this Feature in Winrar that says "Extract To" but I have never used it before by the fear of Overwriting my Files.

I wanna know if that Feature is Safe or I just Continue with Manual Installing of Mods?

 

And beacuse I have just Installed Shivering Isles and Oblivion Againg well I bought GOTY.

So I am adding all these Huge Mods and it takes Alot of time installing them.

I just wanna know if that Feature "Extract To" is safe? :ninja:
