Cyanidepuppet
Having Issues with GECK, linking the inside of my custom player house to the outside of my created house. You can find the tutorial for what i am trying to do at Fallout 3's official website, i cant get my doors to teleport me inside and outside of my creation, yellow teleport markers are visible, the only step that hasnt worked for me is the button called "Reference In Render Window" which is located upon checking teleport after you double click a door. upon using the door to my creation ingame it open and closes but doesnt do anything with my character, this is a door that does not actually move, its only purpose is to bring me from the wastland (12, 6) to the inside of my already created home as if i were making my first tutorial vault, i plan on making a town basically right next to this home at (14, 4), this will hopefully be my first completely operable mod, although i still need to get NPCs working but ill no doubtly have questions for that later. A wise man once said: Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you went after. I could really use some help, i have read threw the tutorial time and time again and the curser still wont turn yellow for me when placing it over a door. pkleiss
Your doors must not be connected to each other then. make sure each door in each cell is persistent. Then double click on the one in your wasteland cell. With its data page still open, change the render window to your interior cell and move the render window so you are looking at the door you want to connect to. Then go back to the exterior door's data page (you left it open remember), and make sure the 'Teleport' box is checked, then hit the 'Select Reference in Render Window' Button and then hover your red cross hair over the interior door so the cross hair turns white. Double click. Now the two doors should be connected. Hit the "M" key to toggle markers and adjust the teleport marker in your interior cell. Then double click on that marker to load up your exterior cell again with your other teleport marker in the render window and adjust that one. That should do it.
