navmesh stairs

Just navmesh to the edge of the stairs placing one vertex on the left side and one on the right. Then add twp more vertexes on the top or bottom (depending on where you stated) and connect the dot. If you do it right you should have two triangles that span the steps and just intersect at the edge of the steps. That's about it.

I don't understand why that would make any difference, just do the same thing to both. If your stairs are continuous, just make one set of triangles down the sloping parts and another set for the level parts.

If you think it does matter, then post a pic of your stairs so I can be more specific.
