Octavian61
So I've installed a bunch of mods and I'm using the DA Mod manager. DA ran smoothly when I first installed the game, but now that I've installed the mods, its now runs somewhat slow (My character will run, but its not smooth. Its like run, run, freeze, run run freeze, etc.) Any tips?
RustyBlade
We can't help you without computer specs, OS version, mods you are running, etc. We need more information first.
Octavian61
I'm away from home at the moment so its a little complicated, but I can tell you that I'm running Windows 7 and I'm using an Nvidia 8800 GT graphics card. I did a clean install of Windows 7 and then of Dragon Age when I upgraded from vista. When I first ran the game without mods, it ran fine. I'm assuming it has something to do with the mods installed. Off the top of my head, the biggest mods I'm running are the Dragon Age Redesigned Version 7-3, the Natural Bodies all in one and Ser Gilmore NPC mods. RustyBlade
Short of adding more system memory (you didn't say how much you had) or uninstalling some mods, the only way to correct the problem is to save, exit the game and restart. Run until it starts to slow again, rinse and repeat. There are certain areas that will always run slow no matter what you do. An occasional reboot never hurts. You may want to try the new patch when it comes out tomorrow(?) or you may not; it does claim to solve some memory leak issues. We just don't know what it is going to break mod-wise.
