GFWLiveSetupMin Won't install

Recommended Posts

Did you check you version from the display setting? If it wasn't 1.7 something and your GFWL won't install as it says the file is corrupt - which file does it say is corrupt, the GFWL client or fallout? Anyway, just try the 1.7 patch and see if that will install. If it all goes to hell again, start over. Only this time don't install to My Programs. Instead create a new folder from the root like C:\Games and install it there - like C:\Games\Fallout 3. That way you will bypass any future UAC issues that might pop up. I am sorry this is such a headache for you. On a side note. You really only need the GFWL client if you get the 'Ordinal 5360' error when trying to install the patch.

Good luck!

Sorry for bothering you, it turns out GFWliveSetupMin was already done, GFWLiveClient is a different application, I know this because I just found it in program files and I'm going to run it soon, just so you know my game is installed right in the C drive, could that be my problem, I'm planning on reinstalling Fallout 3 in a folder I made to keep it more organised.

No bother at all. If you have Vista or Windows 7 and you install fallout 3 to the default folder under \My Programs\ you will not run into problems installing it, but will run into problems running mods. To save yourself the headache, just install the game to ANY folder outside of My Programs\. Using C:\Games is a good one that many people choose, but C:\WTF or C:\Whatever will work just as well.

Keep us posted,

Just to let you know, I was able to update my game from 1.0.0.12 to 1.0.0.15, and since I'm using the Fake patch it will make everything think my game is 1.5, that will only happen if my game is 1.0.0.15, so now I just got FOSE and I can get Operation Anchorage, The Pitt and Broken Steel because the fake patch also includes the official fixex as well as a VATS fix.
