I finished Oblivion years ago before all the added content was released. I recently decided to purchase steam's GOTY, and play the extra content. This time though, I want to mod it up before I play. I've never done any modding before, so I've been reading and researching on how to go about it properly. I have about 50 mods picked out, and I'm about to begin the process of bashing/ organizing the load order and such. I was hoping to get a mod that replaces the npc meshes to make them look better. I understand that altering every npc will lead to an ungodly amount of conflicts. So I was hoping one of you mod veterans can suggest a mod that will play well with others after a good bashing. Thank you in advance for your time and help.

I'm actually relatively new to Oblivion modding myself, but one of the many that I've installed does a decent job at making each NPC look more unique. COBL (http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21104) does many things other than that too. Not sure if it's what you are looking for, but if you just want NPC's to look better, that's what I recommend.
