Jstjean2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Share Posted July 19, 2010 OK, so here's whats happening. im having trouble with moon shadow elves mod Everything is installed into my data folder correctly, the race comes up and when i finish making my character, they show up, no glitches or anything. problem is, when i walk to the front of the cell, the prisoner across from me says nothing... and if i wait, the king never comes. i'm running the game of the year edition, all patches i believe. is there a patch for the moon shadow elves that fixes this? has any one else ever experienced this? greatly appreciate any help :3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
chaospearl Posted July 19, 2010 Share Posted July 19, 2010 Yup, this is a really common problem. It happens anytime you use a custom race, not just with Moonshadow Elves. You figured it out already -- the problem is that the prisoner won't talk to you because his dialogue is based on which race you are and if you're a race the computer doesn't recognize, the prisoner's dialogue won't ever get triggered, which in turn means the Emperor's appearance won't trigger either. Happily there's a simple fix. Get the Unofficial Oblivion Patch. It fixes not only that issue but a few thousand other issues that Bethsoft missed.
