warning has same load order as another mod

Recommended Posts

Wrye bash has given this warning.

Advanced magecraft and CM partners sweetcakes Labash share the same load order.

Is this going to be a problem?

Do I need to take one out, Can I ignore this and carry on, or do I have to find a way to change the load order of one of them if there is a way to do such a thing

Thank you for your time

I would run BOSS or play with the load order using OBMM. Using BOSS and the most current BOSSlog is the best way to make your game run smoother and prevent load order conflicts. Use Oblivion Mod Manager (OBMM) to change the load orders of newer mods not recognised by BOSS yet, or to try and fix load order conflicts without having to completely redo a known good load order.

Thank you for taking the time to give me your imput.

I do run BOSS and the most current BOSSlog and I do run OBMM to change the load orders. I have never had this issue before.

You have said to me exactly what the problem is. CM Partner SweetCakes LaBash is just out and boss dose not know it.

I will have to go back and try some other things.

Thank you very much for giving me the answer of why. it had not occurred to me it was because of how new this mod is.

Thank you for your time

Wrye bash tells you this when the time stamp on the two files is exactly the same. You can use OBMM to select one of these files and move it up or down in the load order. OBMM will change the timestamp of the file when you do this.

thank you for your imput

I would love this to be true, but that dose not work for me at all??

I keep trying to move the files up and down in OBMM and no change at all, no matter where I move the file or files. is there some thing else I need to do to change the time stamp as well as moving the file up or down the load order.

thank you for your time

Wrye Bash has a function that allows you to change the time stamp of a mod. If you change one of them by just one minute that message will go away. I always use a larger increment just in case I need to put a mod in between. so at least ten minutes apart.

Is this time stamp issue causing a problem? If they both work it doesn't matter. It will only cause a problem if both mods are changing some of the same things. Then you need to decide which one will take precedence, the last one loaded will overide the other one.

In your case it looks like the mods are changing totally different things and should not conflict.

Wrye Bash has a feature called "lock times" which will reset the timestamp of a file back to what wrye bash remembers if something should change it. You must right click in the load order column on the mods page of wrye bash and then uncheck the "lock times" option in the popup menu. Then when you move the files up or down in OBMM the changed timestamp will stay changed.
