Datashocker
First off, here is a video to demonstrate the problem. I recommend watching on Youtube with the video set to at least 480p so as to be able to actually see the problem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wHexoLBmnY I don't remember when this started, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't around when I reinstalled Oblivion after reinstalling Vista. I did format the entire drive when reinstalling vista, so no previous registry entries were left behind. My load order is as follows: Oblivion.esmHorseCombatMaster.esmArmamentarium.esmArtifacts.esmScreenEffects.esmCobl Main.esmCobl Glue.espCobl Bookjackets.espCobl Si.espPortable Campsite.espIWR-Windows.espIWR-Lights.espCobl Tweaks.espDLCfrostcrag.esp24HrArenaAliveV2.esp24HrArenaAliveV2Towers.espFrostcragRebornCobl.espCobl Races.esp2nd to 1st person.esplumi_enchantments.espBerdryn's The Secret Way v1.50.espSalmo the Baker, Cobl.espKT_CustomRaceFix.espImperialCityApartment.espCSR - Fine Iron.espCSR - Golden Saint.espKnights.espScreenControls.espBrotherhoodRenewed.espDLCShiveringIsles.espP1DseeYouSleep.espArena Jewellry.espBook Collection.espAutoBookPlacer.esp75bArena.espBookofthedead.espHTHAdvanced - Normal.espAltair_Race.espVARplusclippy.espAssassins Creed - Altair's Gear - Light Armor.espAssassins Creed - Altair's Gear - Heavy Armor.espSnowspring Lodge.espReset the Blood Decal Variable.espArmamentariumLL.espArmamentariumLLMagic.espArmamentariumLLArmaVendor.espArmamentariumArtifacts.espArtifacts.espArtifacts - ArmaCompleteAddon.espAndrews_No_Quest_Items-6729.esp_No__persistant_enchantment_glow_fix-1843.espAkatosh Mount By Saiden Storm.espBlade Of Woe Replacer.espBladeSong.espMidasSpells.espqazFingerSnap.espDeadlyReflex 5 - Combat Moves.esp I have these current OMODS installed: Akatosh Mount by Saiden Storm 1.9Blade of Woe and Sufferthorn Replacer 1.0DarNified UI 1.3.2Deadly_Reflex_5_-_OMOD-26103Detailed_Terrain_-_Beta_II-15245DT_Shader_Patch-15245DT_Texture_Pack_-_Shivering_Isles-15245Finger Snap Animation Replacer 1.01Frostcrag_Reborn_OMOD-9769Water_Reflection_Blur_0.3 My computer specs are as follows: -AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8Ghz (Running OC'ed at 3.4)-GTX 260 Core 216 (Driver Version is 257.21)-4GB of Mushkin Black RAM-MSI NF980-G65 AM3 NVIDIA nForce 980a SLI HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard (Which has a built-in Nforce card currently running as a dedicated PhysX card)-500GB SATA 7200RPM HDD-All cold and cozy inside a delicious Antec1200 Full Tower Case I guess I'm just asking if anybody knows what's wrong? Datashocker
UPDATE: I Uninstalled OB, removed all of the extra folders from the directory, deleted the files in "C:\Users\Datashocker\Documents\My Games", ran CCleaner to get rid of the registry entries, reinstalled, started a vanilla game, lo and behold the problem is STILL HERE. Spaceritual
It is`nt the water going in and out is it? seems a strange place to have a graphic bug otherwise and I did notice it only appears around shoreline. like the cause was some sort of realistic water effect? Vagrant0
I would be tempted to think that it's something to do with your videocard. Oblivion has had past problems with Nvidia cards, or, you did some .ini tweaking, or are using some data file replacements somewhere that caused this. Datashocker
Like i said, I did a fresh install of everything. I removed the entire oblivion folder in ...\Documents\My Games, I cleared the registry, ect.. I even unistalled my graphics drivers and installed the latest ones. No change! The odd thing is, I've had Oblivion working fine on this same hardware and OS, before I formatted my drive.

If you formatted you hard drive , then mayby you forget to install some graphic drivers or other software that you had before you formatted the hard drive , that's why the problem is hapening now. Datashocker
I formatted my drive because I had to swap out my motherboard with one that could do SLI, then I built my brothers computer using the old motherboard. I didnt feel like going through the chore of uninstalling all of my old motherboard drivers. I used the drivers that came with the new motherboard and then installed the latest Nvidia WHQL drivers (258.96). I'm pretty sure that's all I need to run Oblivion. EDIT: sorry, left out a bit of info. I had oblivion running on the new motherboard, and it worked fine for a bit, but then this started to happen.
