Killian93
I've been using the Tes IV construction set and the GECK for quite some time now, and i have had the same problem with both construction sets regarding the AI editor for NPCs. I've searched all over the web for a fix to this, but alas i have not found any solution. Problem- Whenever I am creating an AI for a NPC, it all goes smoothly, But if I want to change a package on the AI list after i created it, GECK/TES CS crashes. Pretty much anytime i click on an existing package to edit it, the whole program crashes. I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem and could enlighten me with some information that could help me fix this annoying problem. I'm running on Vista fyi (Supposedly causes some problems with games although i have absolutely no problem with the operating system) Thank you
pkleiss
If you are referring to AI packages, then yes, I sometimes get crashes when viewing all of them in a list in the object window. Try to edit them from the AI Package tab of the NPC that uses them instead. Sometimes this crash can be caused by a corrupt package, sometimes, it just happens. If you can figure out which of your AI packages are corrupt, you can try to remove it using FO3Edit.
Killian93
I have never used the object window for the packages, I always tried to edit them from the npc menu. If the corrupt package thing is the problem, then all the packages I ever created or tried to edit are all corrupt. I atleast hope the problem doesn't exist in the next TES game, because i plan to do alot of work with the CS.
pkleiss
Just to be certain... Is your game patched to v1.7 and is your Geck patched to v1.5? Other than that, I really don't know. I have never had a CTD when editing AI Packages from the NPC's AI Package tab, nor have I heard of that happening to anyone else, with Vista or otherwise.
