Undone: Elder Scrolls RP

Note: This story takes place about 75 years after the Oblivion crisis. You may not be the main characters from any of the Elder Scrolls games, sorry.

Originally I had a big, big, BIG story written for this RP. Unfortunately, it was lost when my browser unexpectedly crashed, thereby causing me to lose all of what I had typed in the window. Instead of rewriting it all from memory, I will give you the lowdown really quickly on the story.

Long ago, Lorkhan fled to the Aetherius through the Sun when his heart was cast down and his body was split in two to form the twin moons of Masser and Secunda. His long solitude caused him to poison his own mind, and now he desires revenge on the Aedra for casting him out, the Daedra for not assisting him, and Mundus for being apathetic to his murder. He wants to destroy all traces of the old Mundus and create a new one, where he is worshipped. When his mind became horribly altered by his own desire for revenge, he began to eat the Magne Ge, or the star-makers. He absorbed many of them to increase his power. The remaining ones were forced to be his army. Lorkhan eventually discovered that is gluttonous absorption of power had made him too large to fit through the tear in Oblivion that would have allowed him access to the Mundus. He tried to enlist Magnus (God of Magic, who also resides in Aetherius) to assist him in widening the tear, but Magnus rejected him, and Lorkhan took offense and stabbed the god in the heart with his sword. In his dying throes, Magnus fled to Nirn through the tear in Oblivion and his blood spilled into the sea, tainting it with strange powers and reddening it. The continent of Yokuda rose from the bottom of the sea, and brought up with it many twisted amphibious creatures that had been hiding in the depths of the ocean. In his dying throes, Magnus shouted a mental warning to all of Mundus of Lorkhan's inevitable approach. The Aedra and Daedra had formed a council because of these strange events, and were too busy bickering to notice Magnus' warnings to Nirn. In fact, no inhabitants of Mundus or Oblivion heard him.

Or at least, not many.

You play one of the few, who for whatever reason managed to hear Magnus' warning. It warned that an all-powerful evil was on the way, and if it wasn't stopped before it reached Mundus, all would perish. In addition, it told to seek the help of the Aedra, the Daedra, and "all else that walks the worlds of Mundus and Oblivion". By Magnus' sacrifice, all who heard his call became "Heroes", those who are not bound by the prophecies of the Elder Scrolls, and may create their own fate and shape that of the world around him. Never have so many heroes existed at once, and it is very likely that they never will again. The main goal of this game is to enlist the assistance of anything and everything you can, to combat the army of Magne Ge that Lorkhan has sent against Mundus and Oblivion.

A large amount of Elder Scrolls lore knowledge is helpful here, but not actually necessary. For those of you who don't have it, Mundus contains Nirn and all the planets. Oblivion is the "barrier" (it is also a realm in it's own right) between Aetherius and Nirn. Aetherius is the place where Aedra and Daedra originated from. The stars and sun are really just tears in Oblivion, where the light of Aetherius shines through into Mundus. Masser and Secunda are the remains of Lorkhan's body, and the planets besides Nirn are the Daedric planes of each Daedra Prince. Or, at least, this is just my interpretation of the sketchy lore we have been provided.

Rules:

1. No godmodding

2. No powerplaying

3. No killing another PC without their express permission OOC

4. No successful contact with Aedra or Daedra without my permission

5. Keep romance to a minimum, I'm not banning it completely, it's just that the fate of everything is more important than your first kiss

6. Travel must take time. You can not travel from High Rock to Vvardenfell instantaneously

7. Have fun!

Character Sheet:

Name: (Obvious)

Race: (You may be any of the playable races from vanilla Oblivion, as well as Sload, Maormer, Ka Po'Tun, or Tang Mo. If you wish to play another race, ask me, but don't expect me to say yes. If you want to play a multi-race character (Half-breeds and whatnot), you must ask permission first.)

Gender: (Obvious)

Age:

Appearance: (Obvious)

Class/Skills: (Not a class in the video game sense, just a basic overview of your skills/abilities)

Personality: (Obvious)

Bio: (Obvious, but also optional)

Inventory:This is anything that you own that you are carrying with you. Obviously, you must be reasonable. If you are carrying something very powerful, I won't allow you to have a lot of other equipment. Also, include some money in here too. Inns, shops, and blacksmiths aren't free!

Location: (Select any region. It would be preferable if you picked one on either Yokuda, Tamriel, or the Summerset Isles, since those are the only areas we have maps of. )

Wait for me to approve your character sheet before you begin playing. The beginning goal is to either meet up with other Heroes and build up your influence so you can fight back against Lorkhan. Keep in mind that your most valuable allies will be Aedric or Daedric in nature, but every last bit of help is necessary, so don't discount mortal allies. In addition, all of the forced "Heroes" from Magnus' sacrifice have a strange compulsion to gather, which can take shape as either a conscious desire to be near the other Heroes or as constant twists of fate bringing the group together by coincidence.

Addendum: There are a special few who were able to hear Magnus' call, but unlike the others, were not so strongly compelled to stop this evil. There is no way to ally with this evil, but perhaps you could benefit from the chaos it creates, provided it doesn't destroy everything. If you wish to play a more self-serving "evil" character, know that there is no way to make a deal with Lorkhan, as the poisoning of his mind has created nothing but a monster which wishes the destruction of everything related to Mundus. Of course, you could still benefit from the political and magical instability caused by these disasters. There are many opportunities for those who know how to twist war and death to their own benefit. Note that you will still be strongly drawn to congregate with other "Heroes", despite your differences. There is a maximum of 2 of these characters at this point. If more players join, I may up the limit to allow for a little more varied RPing.
