yeldarb
An OMOD is a mod that has been converted to be used by Oblivion Mod Manager(OBMM). An OMOD is a great way to install downloads for Oblivion because everything will be placed where it needs to go to appear in a game.Converting all of your downloads into OMODS is a good habit to get into.It is also easier to hit deactivate on OBMM than manually deleting individual meshes and textures from inside your Data folder when you want to remove a mod. bben46
OMOD is a file format used by OBMM (Oblivion Mod Manager) Some mods may optionally come already OMOD ready which just means the author took an extra step to make installing them easier for people who use the format. You must have OBMM to use the OMOD format, however as far as I know, every mod also will be in standard format for manual install. If you do use OBMM, it is easy to create your own OMODs which are easier to remove and reinstall than a manually installed mod - using OMODs, install and uninstall are one click operations. with the manual. to uninstall you must track down every texture, mesh and other file that was added by the mod and manually remove it. Then if you use OMODs and want to reinstall a mod you removed, again one click and it is reinstalled. OBMM is available here: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2097
