I downloaded OBSE a while ago. the universal silent voice mod, http://www.tesnexus....le.php?id=16622 tells me to put the files in the OBSE folder. it says the folder should be in my data folder. it isn't there. i didn't delete any of the OBSE content i downloaded. in that i have a folder called src with a bunch of other folders in it. is this, or any of the sub folders the folder this mod mentions?

Put the archive in the Data folder, right-click on it and choose '7-zip > Extract Here'. That's it. The archive contains that folder. You do not need to create it.

the entire archive goes in the data folder, including the obse application and dlls and such?

i have obse installed. i just don't have an "obse folder" in the data folder. you're saying, extracting the USV zip will make said folder?

You can create the folder manually. in the Oblivion\Data folder create a new folder called OBSE. Create a folder inside of the OBSE folder called Plugins. You then place the files inside of the Plugins folder.EDIT I use J-zip I could create an install path for a plugin for my game that is C:Games\Oblivion\Data\OBSE\Plugins and the files would automatically be installed where they are supposed to go because J-zip will create the new folders for me.

Yes. Oblivion\Data\OBSE\Plugins is the folder where all OBSE plugin files are installed. OBSE's install does not add it because you don't have to have OBSE plugin to require OBSE. OBSE-depenent plugins are ESPs and ESMs, whereas OBSE plugins are further, more base extensions (primarily DLLs.)
