botering
I have just started playing, I have never played any other Elder Scroll game before. I really don't like 1st Pearson camera view (I get easily sick). But one thing that annoyed me the most was how weird it is to select what is in front of your character. I need to look, centralize the object, so the action button with the option to “take” “examine” or “do whatever” with the item/object would appear. It's very different from other games that you just get near it and then "click" (like Dragon’s Dogma for example). That is especially annoying playing with a controller. Since the game already shows "what" and to "whom", I don't think you need to necessarily be looking or centralizing the object. Is there any mod to "fix" this? I really tried searching for every word I could think of and I couldn't find it. Thanks in advance.
AnkhAscendant
I'm not sure if this is possible, but I'm almost certain it isn't feasible, just because of how very much stuff is in Skyrim. If you're standing near a bookcase, that's 20+ items you could interact with. Or a table littered with clutter, or an alchemist's space with ingredients about... It seems like even if someone did manage to make it work it would become even more tedious, trying to position yourself nearest the thing you want to interact with, or scrolling through a list of things to find the one you're trying to select. botering
Sure, but if this mod would to be made I don't think it should get rid of the pointer at all. What would be nice is, within a radius, when you're not pointing to anything specifically, it should select or give the option from the nearest item. If you do point to something, it should behave like it normally does. Actually just this behavior for corpses in the ground would be a great deal already. I hate walking and having to look down just to select the corpse that is right in front of me. But I do think it can work in general. For example, you walk to a table, you want to take everything, or maybe just the only object that is on it, you would just get near and click. Right now you need to focus (and normally I need to get to 1st camera view because it horrible to focus on small objects with 3rd person view) and click. If there is too many items you can just point to the one you want, like you already have to do.
