steelstiletto
I would like to try to start modding for oblivion, but I can't really find any guides to how to actually make something happen. I have the TES4.EDIT (or whatever it's called), and the CS that you download from Bethesda, but how do you combine those together to actually make an esp to be recognized and used by the game? I figured I could do something easy first, like change the speed that a few skills level. I've looked at some alternatives, but the ones I saw actually slowed down most skills, and only increased the speed of Mercantile and one other (which I can't remember, but it wasn't restoration or destruction (which are the two that I think are too slow)). So, does anyone have any good walkthroughs posted to starting modding, or, would anyone mind even hopping on a chat with me to walk me though it (I have GTalk and Vent)? steelstiletto
Thanks Zlobnez! I looked at that, and think that I might try to use it to make my own house soon. The guide gave me enough information to understand that in order to make mods, you use the CS and make changes to save as an ESP. For anyone interested in making a very easy mod to change skills though, I found (and recommend) this mod ( http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3232 ) which has a tutorial built in for making a skill level adjustment mod.
