Oblivion stops immediately after running program

I think I messed up the data files or something when trying to install open better cities.

Last night I had the better cities and it worked fine until today when I had added the open

better cities. Now it'll start up for a second, then exit immediately. I want to at least keep

better cities. I deleted the omod for open better cities. So, now I've got better cities. Though,

I still have the resource files for obc. Could this be messing up the game? If anyone knows a way

to fix it so I'll be able to play better cities without the game turning off on me, please post a comment.

Vanilla is so boring now that I've seen Better Cities.

If the resource pack is also an OMOD you can deactivate it to remove the meshes and textures.I would try copying and then deleting a file called Oblivion in Documents\My Games\Oblivion<-----This is also where your saved games are located.This file is your configuration settings, and when you start a new game it is replaced automatically. You will have to reset your screen resolution and tweaks like border removal and allowing screenshots. If your game does not start after deleting the configuration settings then reinstall the copy and post your load order.

Yes, you should deactivate OMODs before deleting them. Are you sure that you had all of BC installed? 6 BSAs, the resources ESM and dummy ESP and whatever main plugins you chose?

You are missing the Better Cities resources ESM, and your load order needs to be sorted. Do you have all six BC BSAs in your data folder?

You are missing the Better Cities ESM. The game is going to crash on load every time. Make sure you have a check next to it. If you do not see the Better Cities ESM, reinstall BC. Did you install it with the OMOD?

But, I've have both, after the first few times of the crashing, I deactivated

the omod and tried the manual installation.

 

with the BOSS master list thing.

It keeps saying BOSS master list is not in this folder etc...

and boss.bat is not available.

Re-extract BOSS. What operating system are you running?

I think you need to reinstall BC. It sounds like the OBC uninstall removed a few things.
