The Story so far


At the start of the story the player will assume the role of a young boy or girl (for now only human race


will be available) living on Tattooine. You are the son/daughter of a notorious vigilante know as 'Gundark'. (The


beginning of the story will mostly consist of minor errand missions, collecting some things for your father,


hunting for dinner, procuring the last few parts he needs to fix up his droid- a small sensor droid.) He will


probably tell you the story of why he chose to be a vigilante. I have not yet worked in the exact way this will


come to pass. The story is as fallows.


-Immediately fallowing the death of Jabba the Hutt, the crime lord who once held some amount

of order Tattooine. Sure he was no savior of the people, but despite the treachery committed

by his crime organization, it was just that, an orginazation. He maintained control of all

the other gangs operating on Tattoine. And as long as a man payed his protection fee, he

could at least live free from the oppression of the empire, and the violence from the gangs.

With Jabba dead, the other crime lords were free to vie for power and control of Tattooine

for their own. These violent rivalries began to spill into the streets of the cities and

outside the windows of peoples homes. When you were just a baby one of the crime lords sent a

gang of mercenary to rip your sector from the hands of another rival leader. In the battle

soldiers kicked in doors and use homes for fields of battle. Many men fought and died trying

to protect their homes and their loved ones from the careless slaughter of the battle. Your

mother was killed in that battle. Gunned down in the crossfire. Your father swore to seek revenge

on the crime lords of Tattooine for what they had done.-


About six years have passed since that point and the start of the story (above). You are about 8 when the


story begins. You play the first part of the story (above) as a child in a small town. ( walled in town, few


houses a market with a few stalls and a junkyard. This will be its own cell when created in the G.E.C.K ). Then


after the side missions are done and you return home with the final mission part, that ultimately completes the


repair of your fathers droid, your home is attacked. A bounty hunter comes for your father. Your father tells you


that you must run, there is nothing you can do to save him, you are out numbered and out gunned, and he cant let


you die because of the life he chose. Take his droid and his heavy blaster pistol (which will be a rifle for you


while you are a child), and find his friend (whos name I havent decided, but for the sake of the script we will


call him Ron Pearleman, because that is who I invision this character as :smile: who is an old buddy from his 'dog


days' and he will know exactly what to do. (You will get a map marker and you will have to sneak/fight out of the


compound/town with the help of your sensor droid companion. Reaching the gates will take you to a new 'cell' which


will be basically an empty desert area, probably a clone cell of the area we will use to hunt dinner in the


mission from the beginning of the game, only this time it will have a map marker and a building in the hills with


Ron Pearleman and the completion of your quest. There will be a dialog of you explaining the situation and him


taking you in. Also this will re-open the character creation menu where you will create a new character, this time


an adult. It will also load you to the primary open world space, inside of RPs house cell.) 12 years will pass,


Ron Pearleman is now old and dying, and you are a grown man. He (from his bed) will tell you to go get something for


dinner. You will take his old slug rifle and go out for a meal. During this mission you will be attacked by tusken


raiders. (Probably only two or three) You will kill them and return with the meal. You will have another dialog


with Ron Pearleman and will explain the attack. He will give you an "ata boy" and gloat about how he trained you


well. He with then continue on to say that he has something he wants to give you. He will give you your fathers


blaster pistol. The one you had on you the day you arrived at his home. (it will actually be a pistol for the


adult character) He saiy you should have it, and that he has taught you all he can. He is dying now, and it is up


to you to avenge your mother and your father. To fallow in his footsteps. To liberate the sector from the tyranny


of crime lords. He then asks you to leave, so that he may spend his last few days at peace. You will then exit the


house, never to see Ron Pearleman again. ( exiting the house leads to the world space. returing at a later date


will have a skeleton in the bed and you will be able to retrieve Ron Pearleman's Slug Rifle) You will then have


your main story quest ( avenge your family ) and a full world to explore. (There will be multiple missions


available in the cities at this point including bounty hunting, attacking tusken raider bases-one of which leads


to a huge tusken base with an arena, where raiders will be fighting rancor, and acklay, hunting rare beasts- the


final of these leading you to a Krayte dragon layer where you will fight a Krayte dragon and can find 1 of the 2


or 3 lightsabers in the game. And some other small misisons.) At some point during this free period you will find one of the people


that you can ask about finding access codes to ships entering and leaving the planet.(This will be your characters


first step to finding out who the bounty hunter was that killed your father, and who orderd the hit.) They will


tell you that 'the only place that would hold those records would be the Empire', and that 'you would need a


platoon to get inside'. (your main mission will then update to gaining access to Empire base, and will add a


secondary mission to seek the assistance of a crime boss to gain access.) You will then be able to choose one of


four crime syndicates to pursue.( each offering basically the exact same mission progression and outcome, just


appearing different to the player perspective. Each will have their own armor made available to you depending on


the one you join. These ARE faction armors and make you a part of the faction when worn.) This mission branch will be the


bulk of the first chapter. The ultimate goal will be to wage war on the other 3 crime syndicates, culminating to an end mission where


you have climbed the ranks to be one of the few men working directly for the crime lord. He will offer a final mission to invade the Imperial


base and shut down the shield barrier, so his shipment of weapons can land, and you can finish off the other gangs


once and for all.( This mission will also give you access to the records you need to progress your main mission


another step.) You will learn the name of the ship, the bounty hunter Qel-Ille, and the planet he went to when he


left Tatooine. Nar Shadaa. You will tell your crime lord that you need off the planet to pursue the bounty hunter. He says


this will be your only chance, and you must leave now before the Empires reinforcements return and the shields are


back up. (The ship will effectively be a building that you can enter, on the ships interior cell will be a panel


you can access, much the same way you access the train cart in the fallout 3 Pitt dlc, and will load a new cell.


The new cell will be a clone of the other cell-ship interior- but its dock door will lead to the world space of


the second planet, Nar Shadaa, and the continuing of the story.) To be Continued......


This is the basic script for the first chapter of the story. I did not get time this weekend to type out


the rest of the script, but will try to get it to you, and on the forums, within the week.

I have been away from this forum for a while now, but am still actively working on the assets for this mod. I have recently discovered a huge asset to the creation of the project through another member on the forums. I will be using Cire992's Tatooine world space that he has been working on for years now. It is completely functional in game at this point, and only needs minor tweeks and world population. That is a huge chunk of workload that no longer needs done and has jumpted this mod years into the future in a matter of days.

 

We are still looking for modders to:

 

-Work on small bugs in the worldspace

-populate the world with npcs and monster spawns ( in collaboration with me to fit mod long term)

-create quest lines (in collaboration with me)

-create a webpage for the mod and mod team to further promote and collaborate

 

If anyone else is interested in joining in the creation of this mod please contact me. The name of the mod will be Star Wars: A Lost Hope. I will soon be creating a new forum topic under that name with a link to this one.

DarthIre, i'm interested on your Star Wars conversion, i'm a huge fan of Star Wars, and i know lot of races, weapons, characters, and other, i have a very big experience in GECK, and i also can make textures, i know how to make races, weapons, npc's, dialogs.... i hope you like my aid, i would love to see a great conversion of NV to Star Wars, send me a pm if you like my help, thanks friend ;)
