nukeo12
I can get it working but I cant open any mods. It doesnt have any plugins in the list. I have it specified toC:\Windows\System32\javaw.exe -Xmx1024m -DFallout.plugin.path="C:\Games\Fallout 3\Data" -jar FO3Plugin.jar. And set to start in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data". I have my mods in the data folder so what is the problem please help. Quetzlsacatanango
Which directory is your game installed to? C:\games or c:\program files (x86) ? Only one of those can be right.
nukeo12
It was installed in program file 86 so I changed it. I now have it set to C:\Windows\System32\javaw.exe -Xmx1024m -DFallout.plugin.path="C:\program files (x86)\Fallout 3\Data" -jar FO3Plugin.jar for target. And "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data" for start in. But now its saying execption while displaying file list. java.io.IOExeption: Unable to create directory 'C:\program files (x86)\Fallout 3\Data What should I do? Is it ok if I have the shortcut and the FO3 Plugin.jaj file together in the data folder?
Quetzlsacatanango
That's exactly how I have it, I'm not sure it would work any other way. Make sure both are in your data folder. I don't have anything in my path about fallout.plugin.path. Mine just reads like this: %windir%\system32\javaw.exe -Xmx1024m -jar FO3Plugin.jar I also don't have anything in my 'start in' box. So I'm not sure why you have that stuff.
nukeo12
I tried putting what you had but now it doesnt open at all and gives an error message.
Quetzlsacatanango
If you're running a 64bit OS the path will probably not be the same as mine. You need to search for javaw.exe (you need to have java installed of course) and then replace the path I have above with your own path to that file. nukeo12
I think I found it but it says that "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe -Xmx1024m -jar FO3Plugin.jar" is not valid. What do I do now? Edit: Also this doesnt work ethier "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javaw -Xmx1024m -DFallout.plugin.path="C:\Games\Fallout 3\Data" -jar FO3Plugin.jar Edit2: should I make it go to javaws or javaw and when I specify it it has .exe at the end of it should I leave it there? Quetzlsacatanango
On my 64bit system the path is %windir%\SysWOW64\javaw.exe -Xmx1024m -jar FO3Plugin.jar So are you sure you found javaw.exe and put in the correct path?
nukeo12
Ok I tried that path and now I can open the mods and merge them, but I cant save the combined mod. whenever I try to save it it says java.oi.FileNotFoundException:C:\Program Files(x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout3\Data\FO3Plugin.tmp (Access is Denied) java.oi.RandomAccessFile.open(Native Method) java.oi.RandomAccessFile.(Unkown Source) FO3Plugin.SavePluginTask.run(SavePluginTask.java:81)
Quetzlsacatanango
Do you have GECK or the game open using the mod you are trying to save? Are you running Vista or Win7? You need to either run the util as admin, disable UAC, or install the game somewhere else.
