Okay, I have the -strangest- problem ever

Hello there, first time poster here... and with a rather curious bug that I need help with.

 

Today, when I visited the armorer in Chorral, I was getting the infamous "I HAVE NO GREETING" message, with no choice of conversation at all. Tried it on some other NPCs, and most (not counting guards, quest-specific NPCs or beggars) had the same problem. Reloading a save file, or typing in "setPlayerInSEWorld 0" seems to fix the problem at first, but when I close the dialogue box, no-one bids me farewell - and when I tried talking to an NPC again that I fixed using the console, they quickly go back to saying "I HAVE NO GREETING".

 

I cannot seem to pinpoint the problem at all - I haven't set foot on the Shivering Isles at all, and deactivating mods doesn't seem to help at all. I've tried everything I've could to fix this, and it's tearing my hair out. Please help, before I end up reinstalling/wiping my saves and lose everything.

If you do not have FCOM or OOO you do not need the Kvatch rebuilt compatability esp's, just Kvatch Rebuilt esm and esp.I do not know what TFF is but read the readme and make sure you dont have any extra esp's installed for it as well.There are also UOP's available for the DLC's like Frostcraig and Battlehorn. They are in an OMOD (TESNexus php?id 9969) for easy installation with Oblivion Mod Manager(OBMM TESNexus php?id 2097). This problem was also discussed recently on the Forums, but I am not sure how it was fixed. If I can find the Topic again I may edit this post.EDIT 11:17 CST U.S. I looked up the topic and the glitch was caused by entering the shivering isles without using the portal. The fix was using the portal to enter and exit the Shivering Isles. I hope one of the UOP's can fix your glitch.

Tried doing the "entering/exit" SI trick, and still no luck - even switching off a few mods doesn't seem to do the trick, either. I'm beginning to think that my game file might actually be corrupted.

KT_CustomRaceFix.esp <-- Remove. This fix is included in the UOP.
