NPCs Sleep and fall into their bed

I have run into an odd problem where any NPC, whether added by a mod or not, clips or falls through the bed or bedroll on which they're sleeping anytime they shift positions (i.e. roll over). Basically the NPCs are still in the game but they are not on top of the bed itself; more like in it. A couple of days ago, I used TES4Edit to clean some plugins and used Gecko to merge a few clothes mods and another merge containing weapons, but the cleaning and the merging did not seem to have negatively affected anything. The problem just started today and my most recently installed mods are Rhianna Goddess Companion, Kvatch Rebuit, Vypers Zero Bounty and Infamy Spells, Birthsign jewelry, Full Soul Gem Enchanting, Okari Temple, and Hentai's Schoolgirl Uniform Collection.

I must say I am impressed that you've managed to load that many mods at one time. Maybe the game is being swamped with data and causing an error with the problem you specified. I can't really say what the problem is, but perhaps it could even be a problem with the core files of the game.

Its not that difficult really. I just try not to use mods that edit the same part of oblivion and wyre bash pretty much handles the rest. I do really hope that the core files are not corrupt or anything though. because I'd hate to reinstall everything again.

If they do not fall completely through a bed, just fall into the bed a little, like when you walk on a carpet in game. I might not change it at all. You probably lowered the "level" of the bed and bedrolls accidentally I am not sure if it is a pathgrid or mesh issue. You do use Wrye Bash, so your problem could be fiIxed by deleting a few meshes to cause the beds and bedrolls to revert to vanilla.

They are still "there" as the icon for pickpocketing/vampire feeding/talking is roughly where their body should be but doing anything other than talking causes my character to stand in place until I exit Oblivion which is a bit of a problem as I'm a vampire.

 

As for your suggestion, can you tell me which meshes I should delete? I don't want to make the situation worse by taking a stab in the dark.

Place the bed and bedroll meshes in a folder so you can reinstall them and then delete them. Hopefully the game will revert back to the vanilla resources from the bsa's. If the beds do not fix themselves you still have the meshes to reinstall from the folder.The beds should be in Meshes\furniture- they are inside upper/lower and middle class. I am not sure where the bedrolls are if they have been added by a mod.I took a closer look at your load order >>>You may fix the problem with BOSS. clothing mods usually go into the upper half of a load order.<<<

Alright, I'll try removing the bed files and adjusting the load order. I'll post with the results after I have a chance to check if it works. Thanks!

 

edit: Unfortunately this did not help as the problem yet persists. I'll try to remove some of the many, many mods I have installed as well as restore some esp's to their pre-cleaned state but if there are any more suggestions I would rather try them first. Also, I'll add some pictures in case the earlier description is not clear enough.
