Forbiddenknowledge
Hi, only just picked up oblivion on a whim from steam, and I am trying to get some mods to work. On a reccomendation from a mate, I've picked up a few mods, the main ones being the OOO mod and the BabFinal mod so the character looks better. However, I am not seeing any change in the textures from the BabFinal mod, and I'm not sure if the OOO mod is working fully. I've downloaded the steam version of OBSE, and am using the OBMM to launch the Babfiles and the OOO, I've overwritten the original textures with the Bab ones, yet it still seems to load the basic oblivion textures. Am I doing anything wrong? Would it be worth reinstalling Oblivion again and trying these out fresh, or should I just get the game on disc rather than steam? This is driving me nuts, I've gone over the net for hours trying to find hints, and I've tried everything I've found.
Tomlong54210
Is your game patched with the latest official patch (which is already the case if you have the GOTY edition)? Have you set BSA Redirection in OBMM > Utilities > Archive Invalidation? Do you have the Steam setting, Steam communities in-game enabled? Did you use the installer to install OOO? If so, download the (OMOD-Ready) 1.33 Complete archive instead. What operating system are you running? If you are running Win7 or Vista, reinstall Steam to C:\Games. When you installed OBSE, did you copy all three DLLs and the obse_loader.exe into the Oblivion folder?
Forbiddenknowledge
I've got the GOTY edition, and I set hte BSA redirection, steam is enabled. OBSE is installed right as far as I can see. I just tried it agian after setting the BSA, and it looks like things are working better, the only thing that seems out of place still is the BAB character mesh, it doesn't look like the screen shots posted on this site http://amito.freehostia.com/Oblivion/OB-mods-Part2.htm Edit: I think OOO is working, the game world looks like OMG nicer now, although I only checked out Anvil. However the Bab Character model isn't there, the babstore is, and I tried one some armour etc and it still didn't match the images I've seen for the bab model. Could these mods not work togethor? Or is it something I;ve missed?
Tomlong54210
Please, post your load order - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=know_how_to#PostYourLoadOrder Does the body mesh look all right when the character is undressed? Did you install a Bab-compatible replacer for OOO's armor? Did you install the stock clothing and armor replacers for BAB? I have not used that body mod, so I do not know how it is packaged, but those downloads should be available somewhere on TESNexus. Edit: Unless I was looking at the wrong screenies, those screen shots contain characters for which other cosmetic mods were also used.

It looks right on a new game start, however my current character still looks off. Edit: Ok, things seem to all be running smoothly, albeit my current play through hasn't updated. I can live with that to be honest, the game is awesome anyway, so I think its all good :) Thanks for your help, it tentatively looks like it was to do with the BSA redirection, as thats the major change thats meant things changed. Tomlong54210
Use one version of a mod's main plugin, and these are buggy anyway. Get the fixed version through the link here --> http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=popular_outdated_modsNatural_Weather_by_Max_Tael.espNatural_Weather_HDR_by_Max_Tael.esp Installing replacers does not require an update. Which data files you are using does not get recorded in your save file. Plugins contain all of the (possibly) permanent data.
