mav80
I doubt the mod works in any way. The download only contains a .bat file with some dubious delete commands. Like this:del "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data\EGrass02short.dds" /sdel "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data\EGrass02short.nif" /s So it attempts to delete some of your grass meshes and textures, but forgets to use the correct folders. TKHBMVP
You usually just need a 'boost' if you modding your game. The default game does not need any extras or changes. If you want to use some mods, may be you will find some hints herehttp://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51300/? Be careful, go step by step and take some time for the description.
steelsaga
I know this is an old thread but I'll explain to you guys how this mod works, since you guys obviously have no clue how mods work in general. What the "Floral Overhaul" mod does is add in the "SFO" plugin that tells the game to replace, NOT ADD TO, the vanilla grass/trees meshes with the files found in the your "mesh" and "texture" folders. The reason why you never find vanilla files in these folders is because they are all stored in the "Skyrim - Texture," "Skyrim - Animation," etc .bsa files. If you use a .bsa extractor to extract these files, you will find all the mesh, audio, animations, etc files that the vanilla game uses. ANYWAYS, what this "mod" does (the .bat file) is delete the mesh files of the Floral Overhaul mod, and by taking advantage of the fact that the Floral Overhaul plugin makes the game not load up the vanilla floral meshes that it replaces, this leads to there being less grass meshes than the vanilla game. You can delete the Floral Overhaul mesh files yourself, the author of this booster mod even tells you how to, but the "advantage" of the .bat file is that it keeps the files that the author thinks are needed to still make the grasses look good. The reason for that is because that command will look through the entire "Data" folder, including all the sub-folders. I'm not 100% sure on this, but that should be how it works. steelsaga
Oh right, obviously you should not be using any other mods that replace, add, or tweak the grass/tree meshes other than the "Floral Overhaul" mod. Obviously. It can be hard to tell, as the file and folder names can be anything that the mod author wants it to be, so make sure you read carefully the mods you install.
