Invisible mods?

Recommended Posts

Okay, every mod I download seems to have an issue where it's invisible in the game. If I apply modded armor for example, it makes the occupied part of my body invisible. If I download a race, it's invisible and all I have is floating armor. I am following the installation instructions exactly, what's wrong?

Are you on Windows 7 or Vista?

You need to install the stock replacer that supports your body replacer mod. If you are not using a body replacer, please post your load order - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=know_how_to#PostYourLoadOrder

Have you patched your game to the latest version? http://www.elderscrolls.com/downloads/updates_patches.htm <-- not necessary for GOTY users that have installed SI

the strange thing is "all of your mods"

the first thing to do is to verify your game folders.

they must be like this:( but it's possible to have more)

Data

---Meshes

------armors

------clothes

---Music

---Textures

---Video

if you have folders with other name, like a data folder in data, or a folder with mod name, you have to look at your installation.

Since you are using Vista, reinstall Oblivion to C:\Games (which does not exist as a default Windows folder, but the installer will create it.) That should resolve your problem. However...

New Mod Users Guide - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/#new_users_guide

Body replacers are mod that replace the original body meshes. Load order is the the order by which the game loads plugins. It is determined by timestamp, for the most part.

Load Ordering - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=load_order <-- You should probably go through the guide a bit before reading this; otherwise, the information might be a bit overwhelming.

Edit: Violet indicates missing textures.
