Oblivion Mod Load Order Problems

I have been playing oblivion for a while now and recently installed mods.

However after installing some mods when I played the game I could not see anything except the color of my environment (In the oblivion realm it was orange) when I loaded a save indoors the screen was black. Believing this to be a mod error I uninstalled all my mods which did not fix the problem. I solved it later by turning off HDR.

 

My problem now is I cannot remember my load order and forgot to back it up. Oblivion crashes when I start it up with all my previous mods active. I have read all the readme and help files for all my mods and have even used BOSS but the game still wont start up. Can anyone help. Here is a list of all my mods in the load order from OBMM

Are you sure you have all of the requirements for every plugin installed?

 

EnhancedWeather - Darker Nights, 50.esp <-- You can remove this and set 50% darker night in the EW INI files (since you use OBSE.)

 

This is usually the result of a missing master or a bad INI setting. Try regenerating the Oblivion.ini - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=know_how_to#RegenerateTheOblivion.ini

 

A good test for missing masters is to try and launch the game without mods. If that resolves the crashing, start adding plugins back until the crash returns, and then check that mod's docs to see what you have overlooked.

 

 

Edit: Please, just post the load order here straight from OBMM's Import/Export > View Load order dialog.

I don't see Oblivion.esm on that list. It must be there, and must be first on the list as that is what the mods modify.

Thanks for the help guys but my problem still persists. Here is my new load order. Is there an alternative that does not involve deactivating and reactivating 1 by 1, all my mods?

I would not do one-by-one. Binary search would be much faster. Eliminate plugins by continuously halving your load order.

Thanks. It seems the "See you sleep" mod was causing problems although I have no idea why. If you know what was wrong, any help would be appreciated

Doesn't See You Sleep have another patch? Is it applicable to your setup? The mod is okay, as far as I know, but it certainly is not compatible with everything. I have not looked into the mod enough to be able to tell you what the conflict might be with your specific config, however. You might want to try leaving it active, and add mods back until you figure out where the conflict is, if you would like to continue using that mod. If you do figure out which mod conflicts with it, it may be possible to make a quick patch for it.

Got everything working including "see you sleep"

 

Now I have a big "WTF?!? I'm missing a mesh" appearing everywhere. All the containers have disappeared and a few people only have heads and weapons, no bodies. What did I do wrong? Form ID Finder says something about OOO. Maybe an OOO and COBL conflict?

Use FormID Finder or RefScope to find out which plugin owns the missing meshes. For OOO, as long as you installed the complete archive 1.33 (preferably via OMOD installation) and installed OOO 1.34b5 afterward, on top of it, OOO's installation should be complete.

 

 

Edit: It sounds like OOO is not installed completely. That tends to happen when Vista or Win7 users use the EXE to install OOO 1.33.

Did you reinstall your body and clothing replacers? This usually fixes the floating heads. I do not have OOO/Better Cities and am not sure if they can cause the missing containers because of a missing bsa file or resource pack.
